What is it with these likes? A friend of mine posted about her brother committing suicide, and people liked it. I mean, do these people just click and then read the post? I wonder what goes through their heads after they read it. Is it, “Well, I don’t think it would be proper to unlike it now”?There are times when a dislike button is more than appropriate.
For example: this post of mine.
A. wrote: "What is it with these likes? A friend of mine posted about her brother committing suicide, and people liked it. I mean, do these people just click and then read the post? I wonder what goes through..."I think we should have both.

Actually a few days ago a well-liked Goodreads member passed away and her account was updated by her son to let her friends know. People pointed out they were liking the status just to spread the news - although of course no one LIKED the news.
