A Peek At Your Bookshelves
Here's mine :) It still lacks a couple of borrowed books but hopefully I can fill the whole wall of my room with books :D I put two angles of the "library"--- I hope by the end of this year I can add more and more and moreeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Earlier this year, my mom gave me two three-layered bookshelves for my birthday and it's small. 
But then this new year, they gave me the brand new bookshelf which is bigger than the former but it can only hold the books I bought last 2009-2010. The other books are inside the plastic boxes at the back of our house (poor books)
The books are arranged in according-their-size-so-they-will-fit but Graphic novels and classics has it's own place in my shelf. :P
You guys, how do you arranged your books?
To be honest I have a big book case. I mean, I share it with my mom, and I have another bookshelf inside my room. Mom is a lawyer, so she buys constitutional law books, psychology book, and the like and I don't have any choice but to read them. I will take a picture of it, though. Later, maybe.

I just started collecting YA fiction books last September 2010..so this is my headboard-bookshelf. 
Madami pa akong di nababasa sa mga yan, because I used to read a different genre...so when some of my colleagues introduced me to YA fiction, I fell in love with them. I started tripping to powerbooks~~ ang daming libro, ang kaunti ng pera!
Anyway, I's still hunting for the Iron King Series and the Eon:Dragoneye Reborn. I dont like hardbound. You'll see why on this link. http://elf-writer.blogspot.com/

Wow may kasama ako na humble lang ang bookshelf LOL. Buti ka pa yung kama m may shelf sa headboard, ung sakin wala. So before ako magkabookshelf naka patong patong sa tabi ko hahaha. hanggang sa mas malaki na sila ng space na kinkuha kesa sakin. LOL

siguro ang dadami nyong books kaya ganyan kayo..pahiram na lng LOL hahahhamy cousins before were banned from reading harry potter coz their mom's a devote catholic...but then their father started reading..so there! LOL
but i think people should not be banned from reading books that go against their religion or beliefs... i mean, it can strengthen your faith or at least, make you grow (or NOT) ..and that's a decision that should be made personally...right?

I don't think HP go against religion. God and religion just wasn't mentioned in the series, that doesn't mean it go against it.
Anyway, I agree with you Koi. It's a personal decision. We can decide what we read and learn from it.

@bookcrazy it depends on the book. Some can shatter someone's faith, some can't. But Harry Potter doesn't shatter one's belief, nagkataong may witchcraft lang. But we're not doing witchcraft naman.
@book wow so many YA! I don't normally read YA, mostly general fiction. Hehe I'm oldfashioned. Ang cute, isang abot lang, may libro na agad. :)
@book Elf haha parang the Da Vinci Code. Over makareact si Vatican at Catholic Church. E wala lang naman yung issue.

I'm a mother and a Sunday school teacher. Unless certain books will convert my daughter into an atheist, pagan or Satanist; I'm not banning anything. Of course, I always try and check what she reads first hand.

my friend used to apprehend me because i go by the covers of the books (guilty as charged!) I love book covers!

I love shelf pictures. I'd post mine but since our house is undergoing renovation, I have no house for my books. :( Here's how it used to look like before, though:
- This was when I first got my shelf in 2009.
- This is how it looked like when I fixed it late last year. It was still messy, but the order worked. :P
I'm waiting for bigger shelves once our house is finished. :D

So I will start this topic and here's my bookshelf....
I have these lil guys on my bookshelf as well:
Uhh I don't have a big bookshelf, since I only have a few books, I figured I won't be needing a really big bookshelf. I made this bookshelf myself, I asked my dad to cut the woods for me. Ako ang nagliha, nagpako at nagbuo. I also painted it, checkered white and pink. :D All in all it took me three days.
I tried to arrange my books in Alphabetical order but it never worked for me. So right now they're in random order. I put the books wherever they will fit. My books are not complete in this picture. 7 of my books were borrowed by my friends. I'll try to update real soon.
So it's your turn guys. :p
