Ok so The book starts off with a guy in New York, a girl in California(I think she's famous) and a guy in South America that I remember. There are more, but I don't remember them all. Anyways, they all feel a need to go to New York but monsters are trying to stop them.

Im not actually sure if this is a spoiler, but at the end each character is "claimed" by greek gods(i think) for training for a sort of olympics. Its weird I know but I read this book a long time ago and I got really curious so if anyone knows the name Id be really appreciative. Thanks
