Her older books are better. I think it's because she's having health problems. I hope she gets to feeling better and has more energy to write.

Me too...but she's really up there in age isn't she? Kuddos for her for still going strong!!!

I have re-read Boss Man many times and what always leaves me dissatisfied is the hero never declares his love. I need a good declaration of love at the end of the book.

A typical rag to riches story where John Callister doesn't feel the need to tell the community that he is a multimillionaire taking over some property him and his brothers have just purchased. Sassy is a poor 19 year old (to John's 31) working in the store of a sexual harasser trying to care for her mother dying of cancer and a small child who they took under their wings. Jake and Sassy become taken with each other even after she discovers he is richer than dirt. I have read other Diana Palmer books and have enjoyed them. I found this one very unrealistic (a 19 and 31 year old?) and the dialogue between the characters was so "sappy". Thank goodness it was a short story. It just didn't come together for me. 2 stars

Judd Dunn is a 35-38 year old Texas Ranger/rancher who saved, at the time, 16 year old Chrissy from her abusive father. Married her to keep her safe and get the ranch up and running again. Marriage is purely on paper, but Chrissy is in "love?" with him. ( I call it a crush). She is now 21 and the plan was they would get an annulment when she reached the age. Judd has feelings for her and with different circumstances that arise in the story, it would NOW be a divorce and he isn't sure he wants one. Cash Grier is even older that Judd and has his eyes on Chrissy. The story, romance and heat of the book was good, but I felt disturbed regarding these age differences. Chrissy is too young and immature for him. Judd is too self absorbed and treats Chrissy like garbage. I think it would have been much better if it wasn't so wide spanned in ages. 3 stars

One of my favorites in the series. I really enjoyed how strong the characters were and how both were fighting their own demons from past experiences to come together, not only as lovers but as friends. I especially enjoyed the constant banter between them. It was humorous and brought out the true human side of all the characters. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there was a lot of repeating dialogue and comments throughout the book. 4 stars

A hot, steamy, romantic read. Denying each other to be together thinking the other doesn't care. Predictable, but a nice, fast read 3 stars
