The holidays are over and there's nothing to look forward to until spring. My job gets super busy until March and I can't play on goodreads or do anything entertaining at work. I also can't get my personal crap done at work which is crucial! My house is full of pine needles, overages of cookies I don't like, and new toys that I don't have space for. The winter air makes my hands dry and cracked. My tan is gone. My hair is lifeless. And it's only going to get a lot worse. I mean, it really hasn't even snowed yet or anything.

I was thinking the same thing this morning! Somehow my skin has found a way to be oily AND flaky and my lips are so chapped they're falling off my face! My hair STILL looks like shit, which is awesome. I have 3 of 6 family birthdays this week which means I'm going out to dinner every other night this week AND I get to spend my Saturday at not one- BUT TWO- family birthday parties! Speaking of those meals, I hate that I got totally screwed on Sunday morning at my dad's celebration when my sister and I "split" the bill, but she paid $40.00 and I paid $60.00 even though she has a family of 4 and we were paying for my parents. So really, she paid for some of her family and I paid for at one kid, myself and my parents. I HATE THAT SHIT! On the plus side, there were beignets and lemon curd that were delightful.
Ok who sucks at math? ME! But I'm pretty sure "split" means in half. So even if she brought more people you should have at least only paid the same as her.
I'm insanely busy at work this time of year with end of quarter and end of year reports. I'll be swamped til at least mid March. I work for a trucking company and have to prepare everything for yearly taxes along with everything else I do each week. Right now I hate taxes, my calculator, Quickbooks, truck drivers, and the DOT. Speaking of dry skin, I got a lot of Bath and Body Works lotion from my mother in law for Christmas, so I was putting lotion on my daughters dry skin last night. When I got done I went to put the bottle away and saw it said "moisturizing hand soap", SON OF A BITCH!!!!!!!!! So then I had to give her a bath and hear her complain about how her bath water kept getting sudsy when she hadn't even grabbed the soap yet, lol. It soaked up like lotion dammit, I'm such a failure....
hahaha!The sides of my lips crack painfully around now too. Fuck Winter.
I like winter but this winter I am with Smetchie and the rest of you.
