A Struggling Team Solves its Problem With Baseball Cards? /s

I read this book back in 2002 when I was in sixth grade. I think it was fairly new at the time. It was about a kid who made these fake baseball cards, which became real people to play for his baseball team. He did this so that his team could win. Anyways, it's just been picking at me and I'd like to know if anyone has a clue what book this was.
