lol I don't know about Boris, but I know that is just Mikhail's personality. Not spam, just boys being boys. I think they are trying to liven up the conversation and give some laughs.

Just finished Succubus Blues a few minutes ago, so I finally started Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris. I haven't wanted to read it because it's hardback unlike the others I have in the series...as odd as that is, it bothered me enough to make me not want to read it.

I'm currently reading Damon Galgut's The Good Doctor, a fascinating character study of a white South African doctor's struggle to come to terms with the past, in the morally ambiguous climate of the "new" South Africa. I love how subtle and evocative Galgut's language is.... All of his characters are rich, complex and very real in their emotions and dilemmas.

Ever think of making a thread specifically for your banter? You could make it a humorous thread for people to read. I find your comments hilarious, I just don't want all the members who are on this thread for the currently reading posts to get irritated.

And yes, Stormhark is right... Play NICE! I am VERY interested in what she is or is not reading. She is one of my favorite members. :P

Finished Dead in the Family last night when I couldn't sleep, so now I can't wait to get the next one thought I'm going to try and wait for the paperback (so another 6 months for me).

Just started The Accidental Demon Slayer by Angie Fox...it's okay so far, hoping it picks up.

I just started God Save the Sweet Potato Queens by Jill Conner Browne and Death Masks by Jim Butcher. The first book is kind of goofy, I read the first one and laughed my butt off so I figured I'd read the second one too.

Just started Annabel by Kathleen Winter, sounds interesting about a hermaphrodite baby and how it's brought up as a boy, all the time with this female part screaming inside. It was nominated for the Orange Prize for Fiction this year so it can't be bad!

I just finished reading a book called Jane Was Here. Jane Was Here. I got an advance copy from a friend in publishing. It's a great read for a rainy weekend. I gave it to my mom, and i think she read it in a day. The plot transitions between present day and the 1850's. It's an eerie account of one woman's travels between her past and present life. If you like mystery, suspense, thriller, some horror and the paranormal, then this is for you.

Next on my list Cirque du Freak. I need to see why the kids love this series and this writer. After that, I might tackle Area 51 Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base

I love the mysteries from Poisoned Pen Press ... they've all been at least really darn good, and so I've got a lot of hopes for this one.

I am almost finished with The Wild Sight. It has been a good fast paced read. I am also having problems with deciding what to read next. I have the Night Huntress series by Jeaniene Frost and the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning on my list of TBR. I can't decide which ones to start. Once I start a series I fly through it... any recommendations on which one to start with?

I finished Annabel in 2 days and have since read a couple of Gabriel Garcia Marquez short stories. Now I'm onto Great House by Nicole Krauss. After that I'll be starting my way through the 1001 books to read before you die list that was posted on another thread. I figure it's a way to use my library card more and will give me something to do hehe.
