Storm (stormgerlock) @nada Dirty by Megan Hart is amazing! I love Megan Hart, her books can be a little deeper but I think they're fantastic. Hope you like it.

I read this earlier this year and enjoyed it. If you haven't seen the movie, it's good too.

I saw the movie but I didn't know it was based on a book. Once I found out that it was, I said I gotta read the book because I really liked the movie.

Leah Spiegel | 6 comments I'm currently reading Nightshade by Andrea Cremer. A friend recommended it to me, and I haven't been able to put it down since!(Love Ren, the sexy bad boy warewolf)Can't wait to see how it all turns out!

message 1464: by Carol (new)

Carol (peppersgirl) I am currently Listening to I Am Half-Sick of Shadows (A Flavia de Luce Mystery #4) by Alan Bradley it's fabulous. I've read the other books in this series and I think this one is my favorite so far. I am reading Absolute Midnight (Abarat, #3) by Clive Barker which I'm really enjoying and Bag of Bones by Stephen King which is way better than the made for T.V. version that was on the other day.

message 1465: by Huw (new)

Huw Evans (dochuw) | 140 comments People keep giving me books to read (not that I am complaining). How Gods Bleed by Shane Porteous is my first dip in to things lycanthropic. Am trying to finish A Dance With Dragons (A Song of Ice and Fire, #5) by George R.R. Martin which is turning into a labour of persistence. The Last Stormlord (Watergivers, #1) by Glenda Larke and The Warded Man (Demon Cycle, #1) by Peter V. Brett are proving much more friendly reads. Finally, there is The Heritage of Shannara (Heritage of Shannara, #1-4) by Terry Brooks ; having spent the first forty pages waving to old friends (LOTR, Celtic Mythology, Arthurian Legend) I am going to have to find the storyline and let it take over. Who needs TV during the holidays?

message 1466: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (shadowrose) I finished Dearly, Departed (Gone With the Respiration, #1) by Lia Habel earlier today and really enjoyed it. Now I'm about 10% through On a Dark Wing by Jordan Dane , I'm not quite sure if I like it yet. The main character is definitely not going to make my 'love' list. I'm still reading The Way of Kings (Stormlight Archive, #1) by Brandon Sanderson but it's on a kind of hold until next year since I'm doing Netgalley Month right now.

Flora Smith (bookwormflo) I've just started Amaranth & Ash, one chapter in and I already like this one. It reminds me somewhat of The Left Hand of Darkness. I've also just started Book of Prophecies and its a little bit strange so far.

message 1469: by Cammie (new)

Cammie I started Love Finds You in Nazareth, Pennsylvania by Melanie Dobson today.

message 1470: by Judith (new)

Judith Starkston | 31 comments I took a delightful break from serious fiction and read the hilarious second Algonquin Round Table Mystery by J.J. Murphy called You Might As Well Die set in New York in the 1920's. Here's my review. Its zany cast of characters includes Dorothy Parker and Harry Houdini, along with a bunch of fictional characters who are truly "characters." A great way to cheer yourself up and laugh yourself silly.

message 1479: by Jasja (last edited Dec 22, 2011 04:46AM) (new)

Jasja | 21 comments I am reading Sweet Dreams (Colorado Mountain, #2) by Kristen Ashley and I really do love it... but it's a bit of a love / hate relationship. At times the over the top things that are happening, the somewhat poor grammar / spelling, lack of words and such do annoy me a little bit.

And geez, had I been the female lead, surely I would have long kicked the male lead in the balls by now. Nothing wrong with an alpha man, but again, a bit (read: lot) over the top at times.

But it definitely is different from most other books I've ever read and in it's own, unique way it is kind of likeable.

stormhawk | 1184 comments The Help by Kathryn Stockett - Kathryn Stockett

Borrowed from a friend because I wasn't patient enough to wait to come up to the top of the library queue.

I am 9 people away from getting the Kindle edition, though, so I may switch over when it shows up, if I'm still working on it.
