And now I've started with Prophecy of the Sisters (Prophecy of the Sisters, #1) by Michelle Zink which sounds very interesting after a few pages. I'm curious how it turns out in the end.

Judith Starkston | 31 comments I just finished The Moonstone, which is an old classic mystery. I had so much fun rereading it--sometimes the oldies are still the best! Anyway here's my review

Starting Fading Into Magic (Fading Into Magic, #1) by Vone Savan , the author sent it to me and I'm starting right away :)

message 1193: by Veronica (new)

Veronica (veraj121) I just started reading Cross Fire (Alex Cross, #17) by James Patterson

message 1194: by Judith (new)

Judith Starkston | 31 comments Although I'm not usually a fan of French history, I had heard so much about Becoming Marie Antoinette that I decided to read it. For me there was maybe more about clothes and hair than I am thrilled to read about, although that is pretty central for the period, but I definitely enjoyed the in-depth reappraisal of Marie Antoinette. Grey gets inside her head in a convincing way. Here's my review.

message 1195: by Kat (new)

Kat (katzombie) After getting distracted over the last few weeks, I'm determined that from now on I shall only read Schindler's List by Thomas Keneally !

message 1196: by Sherri (new)

Sherri (sherjonesy) You Can Get There from Here My Journey from Struggle to Success by Bob Knowling

I won this recently. It's a bit of a "how to be successful" book. I CANNOT stand How-To books! Buuuuut he wrote this book so well!
He talks more about his personal life and attitude on things and then about how that has helped him in his business, instead of telling you what to do. He's trying to lead you into doing the right thing by telling you his personal experiences.
If all how-to/self-help books were written like this I might not have such a problem with them...

message 1197: by Lisa (new)

Lisa | 617 comments Just finished Fables: The Deluxe Edition Book One. I thought it was kind of awesome and have requested the next one from the library. Just started Paranormalcy. Honestly, while I can see 15 year old me really enjoying this book (my favorite color is pink) 25 year old me is having a hard time getting into it. I mean really, she bedazzled a tazer. However, this book does get points for declaring vampires are not sexy within the first few pages and sticking with it. It's kind of nice to see more traditional vampires for a change.

Vampires aren't sexy? I may be able to return to paranormal fiction with this one. It sounds good.

Keryl Raist (kerylraist) | 66 comments In the middle of A Heart in Sun and Shadow (Chwedl Book One) by Annie Bellet right now. It's going well, a bit rough on the proofreading front, but the storyline is pleasant.

☕️Kimberly (Caffeinated Reviewer) (kimbacaffeinate) I finished Dearly, Departed and posted a review now i am reading Lonestar Angel
