Elvia (elvb) FINALLY (hopefully) back to reading. I started Ghost Story yesterday. I think it was just the book to get me back at it. I've missed Harry. :)

It's one of the few books I've read more then 3 times. I still own the copy I bought when I was 12. Very good. I kind of want to read it now, lol.

message 1015: by Lisa (new)

Lisa James (sthwnd) JUST for the sheer joy & humor, I'm reading The Cartoon History of the United States. I picked it up at a secondhand book store yesterday, I just could not resist. And with 2 boys, one in 8th grade & one in 6th who would rather do anything BUT read, I figured this "might" be a cute way to get them to read AND learn about American History at the same time. So far, it's irreverent, tongue in cheek, & hilariously funny.

Go to Smashwords.com or to my website, www.thedaisyfield.com, if you want an efriendly version or if you want a book in hand, it's available on my website, in stores and at Amazon, etc. I'm hosting a give-away, too. message 1033: by Cary (new)

Cary (vortigern) | 344 comments I am on the last page of an early Scifi Vampire Romance called Sabella by Tanith Lee. She was a British woman born in 1947 who wrote fantasy novels, and childrens stories, screen plays for the BBC. I think she published her first book in 71. Sabella is very original and ahead of the pack in vampire romance.
