Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Steph I am so glad you liked Aftertime!

I am almost done with the audio of This World We Live In (Last Survivors, #3) by Susan Beth Pfeffer . I have so many problems with these books but I am loving them and can't stop!

I am about 30% in to Ready Player One by Ernest Cline I can tell this one is going to get 5 stars. I love it already, it is unlike anything I have ever read before.

Kerstin I can't wait to read Fate's Edge! I am so glad to hear it is the best so far! I felt like #2 was better than 1 also.

message 1959: by Lis (last edited Dec 04, 2011 06:29PM) (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Started reading One More Bite (Jaz Parks, #5) by Jennifer Rardin this week and ebook of Lady of Light and Shadows (Tairen Soul, #2) by C.L. Wilson .
But I picked up Aftertime (Aftertime, #1) by Sophie Littlefield and read thru it entirely today... Could not put it down... Moving on to Rebirth (Aftertime, #2) by Sophie Littlefield .

Just finished listening to the Hunger Games trilogy again on audio. The trailers I've been seeing just gets you in a mood to re-visit. Can't wait until the movie release.

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments Lis I am so glad you liked the Aftertime series! Have you read the short story that takes place in between the first two? Survivors (Aftertime, #1.5) by Sophie Littlefield

I am so excited, I just started this!!!! Head Rush (The Disillusionists Trilogy, #3) by Carolyn Crane

I am still finishing out Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy, #6) by Richelle Mead

I just completed these and I loved them all: Ready Player One by Ernest Cline Life As We Knew It (Last Survivors, #1) by Susan Beth Pfeffer The Dead and the Gone (Last Survivors, #2) by Susan Beth Pfeffer This World We Live In (Last Survivors, #3) by Susan Beth Pfeffer

message 1963: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Amazon freebies Snaring the Huntress by Sylvia Day Bewitching the Werewolf by Caroline Hanson were pretty good.

Some brilliant aspects to On a Dark Wing by Jordan Dane but it was dreadfully slow.

Touch of Power (Healer, #1) by Maria V. Snyder may be similar to Poison Study but ToP was a far larger world and more complex. There's a high level of detail and I really enjoyed it.

Deadly Pursuit (Blood Hunter, #2) by Nina Croft was better than Break Out but I'm slightly uncomfortable with how the MC seconds after being almost raped jumped her mate-to-be's bones. Reminds me of Firefly.

Not sure what I'm going to read next. I should probably try to finish the books on my currently reading shelf before the end of the year.

Desperado (lethallovely) | 1360 comments Currently Reading: Shatter Me (Shatter Me, #1) by Tahereh Mafi

It's really good but it also suffers from metaphor overload. I keep waiting for the phrase "weeping vaginas of honey nectar" to surface.

message 1968: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Maybe something simple like "weeping cores" ? LOL

message 1969: by Desperado (last edited Dec 08, 2011 07:42PM) (new)

Desperado (lethallovely) | 1360 comments LOL! Weeping anything down below is not good IMO. It means you need to take your dirty ass to the gyno. Or is that dripping?

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments I'm liking this series a LOT! Definitely NOT your sparkly vampires. More horror than PnR - but I love it..... There is a fourth book in the series coming out next year. I can hardly wait!

Midu Hadi | 1732 comments I know! I know! Loved the ending..I knew that was going to happen..still!!

I was just organising my Kindle app today (getting me all excited about the Kindle I'm getting for Christmas - it arrived yesterday!!) and saw that I have 99 books that are tbr :/ whhaaattt? how did this happen?

Anyway, I'm getting back into the reading swing since uni has broken up for the holidays. In the last few days, I've read

message 1981: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) Struggling through Ascension (The World of Ascension #1) by Caris Roane I can't really relate to any of the characters.

message 1982: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments I think I need to regroup and concentrate on HR, mysteries and fantasy. Lately I've been reading a lot of YA and I don't seem to be in a mood for it anymore.

message 1983: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments You are going to dump Skin Dive though? Is Genesis not holding your attention?

message 1984: by D.G. (new)

D.G. | 2752 comments No, I'll finish them. I'm almost done with SD.

With Genesis, it got to a very uncomfortable part and I sort of needed a break. Like Adam, I didn't want to hear the truth.

Genesis is a very deep and interesting book. I get why people say it's not YA (it really isn't.)

message 1985: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 1586 comments Finished Heartless (The Parasol Protectorate, #4) by Gail Carriger last night. Just love that series; it just keeps getting better and better.

message 1986: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments @Regina: Thanks! I've been on the fence about whether to read Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between (Rhiannon's Law #1) by J.A. Saare so I'll be looking out for your rating :)

message 1987: by Tessa (new)

Tessa (tessamc) | 171 comments The Fever series, Fifty Shades of Gray and BDB have been my favorite this year and they are definitely NOT YA! Enjoy Josie!

Thanks for the info, but I already have it and have read it on my Nook. :-D

Touch of Frost (Mythos Academy, #1) by Jennifer Estep was pretty interesting. (I really love mythology.) I'm excited to see how the next one is. Just ordered Kiss of Frost (Mythos Academy, #2) by Jennifer Estep today.

Currently Reading: At Grave's End (Night Huntress, #3) by Jeaniene Frost (Cat and Bones! Yay!)

message 1992: by Lady Jaye (last edited Dec 24, 2011 01:15AM) (new)

Lady Jaye (lady-jaye) | 598 comments My soul to take! Really unique story with two agonizingly horrible protagonists (well, most people like them) - makes for an interesting reading time!

(I haven't read Hex Hall either).

message 1993: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Thanks Vivian and Lady Jaye!

Looks like I'm in need of a tie-breaking opinion...

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? (Tee hee...)

message 1994: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Sorry Alyssa, I haven't read either, though I'd go with the red cover just cause it's Christmas.

message 1995: by Josie (new)

Josie | 1967 comments And I'd go with Hex Hall (I haven't read MStT either) so you're tied again ;)

message 1996: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Thanks Sandra and Josie! (BTW, Josie, I'm thinking about watching HP7 Part 2 today! Yay Luna!)

Looks like it's gonna take something technical and complex for me to decide. I'm gonna have to either close my eyes and pick or use eeny-meany-miney-mo.... Haha.

Still got about 2 hours before I have time to read. So if there are any other opinions..... :-D

message 1997: by Literary Ames (new)

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments I've read both. I vote Hex Hall though MStT is good too. Alyssa, have you read My Soul to Lose (Soul Screamers, #0.5) by Rachel Vincent ? It's the prequel to MStT and it's an efreebie.

message 1998: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (lyssad87) | 974 comments Oooh.... Thanks Amy! I'll have to check it out.

message 1999: by Josie (new)
