Donna Dull (donnadullbooks) | 4 comments Sadly my current read isn't out yet. Right now I'm reading Dark Corners by Liz Schulte (available Friday, but i'm beta reading) and it's awesome! I just finished 50 Ways to Hex Your Lover (Jazz Tremaine #1) by Linda Wisdom which was really good too...

Loved the Mangus Pack books!!!!!

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments Steph - I need another category!!!! What do I read now?????

LOL - it really isn't a problem. I have plenty of books to read for games at PBS....I just feel kinda at loose ends without having a category to help me choose.

I'm reading Scythe by M.K. Mancos now. Next up will probably be Undercover (Federation Chronicles, #1) by Lauren Dane or The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross or Oleander House (Bay City Paranormal Investigations, #1) by Ally Blue . I have to read all of them.....SIGH.....I have SUCH a hard life!

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I was looking for a #2 (for my last *sniff* 'I Second That!' book), as well as somethin' on the short side. And my recent review of Primal Hunger lead me to Primal Attraction (Pendragon Gargoyles, #2) by Sydney Somers . So far, I'm liking it more than #1.

message 1307: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments GTK, I haven't started that series yet.

message 1308: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I like how different it is from anything else. And very smexy at that.

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Finished listening to Enclave (Razorland, #1) by Ann Aguirre which was very good. Now listening to The President's Vampire (Nathaniel Cade #2) by Christopher Farnsworth and should finish reading Primal Attraction (Pendragon Gargoyles, #2) by Sydney Somers tonight.

Hard Bitten (Chicagoland Vampires, #4) by Chloe Neill finally arrived, so I'm anxious to read that, as well as MS. Just hangin' until the categories for CC4 are announced to see if one of them fits.

Guess I'll have to find something else to read between now and Sun.

message 1311: by CyberAlmu (new)

CyberAlmu | 302 comments When I'm not studying, I'm reading Caressed by Ice (Psy-Changeling, #3) by Nalini Singh . I liked the previous 2 better than this one... for the moment. We'll see how it ends!

message 1312: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments That's unusual CA, most people love #3. Hope it improves for you!

message 1313: by CyberAlmu (new)

CyberAlmu | 302 comments I'm unusual hehe

It reminds me too much about Zsadist, I guess... I don't know. Maybe I've too much poetry in my brains and I can't think straight :)

I'm anxious to get to Dorian... and Hawke...

message 1314: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments It's definitely one of my faves of the series.

Sandra | 25908 comments About to start Kiss of Snow (Psy-Changeling, #10) by Nalini Singh and the book looks even better IRL. Yay!!!

message 1316: by CyberAlmu (new)

CyberAlmu | 302 comments Enjoy it, Sandra!

I've already finished Caressed by Ice (Psy-Changeling, #3) by Nalini Singh and I don't know what to read next. That's the problem when you have too many possible choices.

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments YAY Enjoy!

I know what you mean, CA. Hope you find something good.

message 1318: by Josie (last edited Jun 10, 2011 03:45AM) (new)

Josie | 1967 comments I'll be reading Hunt the Moon (Cassandra Palmer, #5) by Karen Chance very soon!!! My mum told be yesterday that it had arrived (I didn't think it would be there so soon!), I think she's using it as an incentive to come home early, about 4 more days to wait!

Until then I've been reading the Rachel Morgan series which is fast becoming a favourite of mine. Trent. Wow. I've just started A Fistful of Charms (The Hollows, #4) by Kim Harrison

message 1319: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Yay! I'm waiting for my copy to arrive. Pritkin!

Enjoy Rachel!

namericanwordcat | 41 comments Darkness Dawns (Immortal Guardians #1) For those of you needing a Vampire fix.

This is the start of a new series and I am surprized by how good it is.

It has a bit of the Frost feel. It is working up its own mythlogy. The writing is good and the characters engaging. I recommend it!

I would not say its anything new but it is good. Like pudding.

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Finished Immortalis Carpe Noctem (Immortalis, #1) by Katie Salidas -2 stars, I think.

Grave Sight (Harper Connelly, #1) by Charlaine Harris I was listening and reading this at the same time but gave up on the audio, Ms. Monotone was too much for me. My inner voice can do much better, thank you very much.

Still reading A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) by George R.R. Martin and I need to finish The Iron Hunt (Hunter Kiss, #1) by Marjorie M. Liu

message 1324: by Lis (last edited Jun 10, 2011 04:13PM) (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Finished Kiss of Snow (Psy-Changeling, #10) by Nalini Singh , but zipped thru it too fast and need to do a quick re-read to catch the secondary characters stories. Also read The Unbearable Lightness of Dragons (Light Dragons, #2) by Katie MacAlister which was a fun read. I gave Ms Anita another try with Hit List (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #20) by Laurell K. Hamilton and I have mixed feelings on that one. Really liked the book of the month Stormwalker (Stormwalker, #1) by Allyson James , and plan to continue with this series.

Currently listening to Stone of Tears and ready to give Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #1) by Larissa Ione a try.

Kerstin | 862 comments @Ames, how are you enjoying The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? I keep on eyeing it at the library, but I have yet to pick it up.

message 1334: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments @CA ~ Thanks! I put it aside once the CC4 categories were announced and am now reading Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, #5) by Ilona Andrews . YAY! But, I am enjoying Nightshade very much so far.

@Sandra ~ Glad you enjoyed Kiss. I knew you would :)

@Dominika ~ Hope you like it as well. It flows nicely. It also has an interesting story. Looking forward to getting back to it soon.

I zipped through Kiss of Snow. It was so good I might do a whole series reread.

message 1336: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments That would certainly be enjoyable Cali :)

Finished Magic Slays (Kate Daniels, #5) by Ilona Andrews 5 stars. Loved It!

Reading Midnight in Death (In Death, #7.5) by J.D. Robb , just a shortie for a challenge, always good stuff.

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments Did a re-read of Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews today and loved it! No surprise. I first read it in 2007, so it was nice getting a refresher on how it all started. Fun!

I'm still reading Nightshade (Nightshade, #1) by Andrea Cremer , about a quarter through and enjoying that as well.

Have The President's Vampire (Nathaniel Cade #2) by Christopher Farnsworth on the iPod, but never seem to have a chance to listen lately.

Literary Ames (amyorames) | 1854 comments Kerstin wrote: "@Ames, how are you enjoying The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo? I keep on eyeing it at the library, but I have yet to pick it up."

I've only listed to the first hour or so and I'm somewhere in the middle of the second chapter. It's pretty boring so far. I'm putting it aside to watch the Swedish movie (with subtitles) on iTunes which I might watch either later or tomorrow, I think.

message 1341: by Jackie M (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Doing a re-read with Steph of the Kate Daniels series. They are so good. We're up to #2 Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews

message 1343: by Lis (new)

Lis | 4037 comments Finished a couple of first time authors, Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance, #1) by Larissa Ione which was just OK for me. Also read Queen of Shadows (Shadow World, #1) by Dianne Sylvan and really liked it.

Going back to Allyson James series and reading Firewalker (Stormwalker, #2) by Allyson James .

@Ames - Stone of Tears had a good start, but is very depressing at the moment. I keep hoping it will pick up soon like the last one did in the end. Also the The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was good once you get past the first 150 pages of names and corporation stuff. Its a good mystery and Lisbeth is my hero.

message 1344: by Kerstin (new)

Kerstin | 862 comments Amy or "Ames" wrote: "I've only listed to the first hour or..."

Thanks for that, Ames. I've heard from a couple of people now that it gets quite boring in a few spots. Let me know how you like the movie :)

message 1345: by Sandra, Kindle Operator Licence Required (new)

Sandra | 25908 comments Steph & I finished Magic Burns (Kate Daniels, #2) by Ilona Andrews and we are now reading Magic Strikes (Kate Daniels, #3) by Ilona Andrews . They are still just as good as the first time we read them.

message 1346: by Steph, Serious series addict (new)

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments @Ames, we enjoyed the Swedish version of that movie. I'm thinking the US one is gonna be over the top. Looks like a lot of big name actors in it.

@Sandra - FUN, fun, fun! :D

Cindy (eclecticfirefly) (eclecticfirefly) | 1237 comments I'm jealous.....

I'm reading Everlost (Skinjacker, #1) by Neal Shusterman now. Just finished Caressa’s Knees by Annabel Joseph . LOVED it!!!! Just wish I didn't have to mail it out soon....might have to spring for a keeper copy!

message 1348: by Mafi (new)

Mafi | 63 comments I'm reading Panic by Jeff Abbott by Jeff Abbott and Tempted (House of Night, #6) by P.C. Cast by P.C. Cast

message 1349: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 2883 comments I should do a reread of Magic Bites, what a great idea. I posted this on Ames's review, Girl with a Dragon Tatoo is very dry and boring in the beginning (about first 100 pages) but then really picks up -- and doesn't stop. #2 has no dry spots at all. I personally am not a fan of the narrator. I tried to listen to the narrated version of #3 and couldn't do it. Got several hours in. I prefer reading these books. We loved the Swedish version too -- of #1, then we liked the Swedish version of #2, and I think we were kinda bored with the Swedish version of #3 and never finished that movie.

I am reading Rebirth (Aftertime, #2) by Sophie Littlefield I really enjoyed the first in that series (Aftertime). I am also listening to The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood the narrated performance is very good. I am also reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt which I am loving.
