Oh no. :( I am so sorry. Being sick just sucks everything out of you. Hopefully you can listen to audio?

Thanks! Yeah, it was manageable up until last night. Now, I'm a big ball of congestion and not a happy camper. My horns grow when I'm sick - not nice to be around. My poor hubby. Yeah, I've been trying to listen to
, but if I don't keep my mind active at the same time I fall asleep. Been playin' a lot of Angry Birds while listening - trying to stay awake. LOL!
LOL! Yeah, not too. But, I'd chose congestion-free over both. >:\ Thank goodness I don't have anywhere to be until Monday.

I just read Burning Up. I enjoyed the Psy/Changling short story but it is really for those who are already very into the series I think.
Steph wrote: "@Daffodil ~ I enjoyed Destiny Kills, but it wasn't what I was expecting. My mistake, I have enjoyed many of Keri's series and was expecting a bit more UF, but it was a bit more roma..."Angelina shows up for a cameo in the latest book. Fun!
Cali wrote: "Angelina shows up for a cameo in the latest book. Fun!"Sorry, Cali, I blame med-head, but which book?
@Regina, I didn't realize that was in there. I was so focused on Nalini. But, I'm glad to hear it. That way I can find out if I'd like to go for Iron Duke or not.
Regina wrote: "I like the prequel to iron duke in burning up."Yep, it's why I bought Iron Duke. I was intrigued.
Just finished with
,
and
I'll admit that I wasn't into it at the beginning, but by the third book, I'm hooked...Not sure if I'm in a reading funk, but a few of my series reads seem to be going downhill vs getting better... I really want to finish the Kitty series, but am struggling and up to
. Started listening to
. Bring on the new releases... I did pick up
this week, but also was a little disappointed when I read Destiny Kills, so if anyone has read it, please let me know if its should be bumped up the TBR pile. Thx
Lots of good ones there, Lis. Hope you enjoy Spider's Bite. I've read Destiny Kills, actually listened to it. I enjoyed the narrator and the story, just wasn't as UF as I'd come to expect from Keri. I am looking forward to reading Mercy Burns soon though. I'll try to remember to let ya know how I like it.
Steph wrote: "Thanks, CA!How is that series, Sandra? I have #1 (maybe more), but haven't gotten to it."
Good solid shifter story, pnr though, not uf. Probably 3.5 stars - 4 stars.
Aw Steph that's no good. Feel better soon. Your bookshelves will be missing you!
Almost done with
. Have to think hard before I make my mind up about it, it's a tricky one. Onto
next.

Finished
. The last 25% was what I'd been waiting for! I'm glad Spider’s Revenge is coming out in September.
Thanks ladies! I'm able to breathe a bit better today, so that's improved my mood a lot. I'm trying to finish
and
. I finished Shelly's story in WHWB and didn't like it nearly as much as the previous 3. I'm guessing it's b/c it didn't have any favorites, being it takes place 20 years before.
But, I've been pleasantly surprised at how much I've liked the stories (so far) in Burning Up. Well, I didn't care for Angela Knight's (too "Nay" and "Thoust" for me LOL!) but I am enjoying the Iron Duke prequel, and of course liked Nalini's short.
Ames, does that mean there is a cliff-hanger in Tangled Threads?Steph didn't you like the young Irene Conridge? I really liked Miki's professor in Go Fetch and was happy to read her story. Burning Up was a 4 star anthology for me and thats pretty unusual. LOL
I'm about a 1/3 into
and really enjoying it. Bones can do no wrong. LOL
Steph I am so glad to hear that! I keep forgetting I have This Side of the Grave to read. My weekend has been crazy with so many baseball and tball games and all sorts of other stuff. I havent even been able to read at night. Hopefully tomorrow on the train - crazy I have to go back to work to find time to read.

Sandra wrote: "Ames, does that mean there is a cliff-hanger in Tangled Threads?"No cliffhanger, just a very satisfying ending.
I've gathered my courage and restarted
after chickening out when I checked out the last few pages and found my favourite character had died. 31% in and not dead yet...
Oh no!! That's awful, I suppose you're torn whether you want them to die earlier on so you can get over them a bit or nearer the end so you can enjoy him/her for the majority of the book :'(I'm reading
and
. Rogue I seem to be getting more into, it took me a while though. The Knife of Never Letting Go is very... different. And scary. But not in a 'hide-behind-the-sofa' scary. A 'wouldn't-it-be-horrible-to-live-in-a-place-where-there-is-no-opposite-sex-and-everyone-can-hear-your-thoughts' scary. It's very good though and I have lots of questions that I keep wondering whether they've already given me the answers to them and I've just been too slow to see it. Oh well, I'll just keep reading :)

Ames, thank goodness for that, I certainly wouldn't of been able to wait for September if there had been a CH.
And I definitely hate it when a fav character dies. I totally understand puttin off the book, I have been known to do that and for years too.

Oh wow, how can you bear to keep reading? On the odd occasion that's happened to me I haven't had the heart to go on.

My favourite Nalini Singh, Vivian. The rest of the series is terrific too.
Just finished
. I believe this is my book of the year. I can't rave about it enough, it was fantastic.
