I'm so jealous that you didn't have to wait for any of the VA books to come out! I'm glad you're liking them though! I might have to give HoN another try one of these days...

Lol...yeah, they aren't bad. They aren't amazing, but they definitely held my interest. I'm gonna try to get percy too....just for you.
Yes! That is a definite must! I can't bug enough people about reading those ones lol :)
Not dystopian, but has anyone read the Laws of Magic series? If so, is it worth reading? (Can't seem to get a grasp on what age it is aimed at.)
It sounds pretty good, but I haven't heard of it before right now, so I can't help you with the age it's meant for. But I hope you read it and let us know how you liked it, cuz it sounds pretty interesting!
I just finished
today and it was pretty good, good enough to read the next books in the series. Started
. I'm a pirate junkie, and I'm loving it so far!

Bethany, I've heard good and bad things about that series, but I've always avoided them because of how long they are! You'll have to let me know what you think of that one!
Amy, it's funny! Yay for reading the same books! I liked it! Hope you do too!

I really like the Gone series, but everyone I know who's read them doesn't. I think you just need to read them with an open mind.
Ok. Well, I like it so far. I think the thing that will keep my interest is wondering what the heck is going on...lol. I just got to the part where they find the wall in the country club...Odd. So at the least i'm intrigued.
So my librarian gave me a copy of
. Apparently this is also titled Angel and I've heard great reviews for it, so i'm excited to read it. And, hey...who doesn't love a free book? Also reading the third HON book and starting
Angel Burn was really good! Haha that's funny I read the version titled Angel. There are some slow parts, but it's a great angel book, I'll think you'll like it!
Haha...i read the whole thing yesterday (angel burn). It was really good! Very romantic and I liked the way the angels were kinda different than they are in most angel books. I really enjoyed it.
I fnished The Roar today, and it was pretty good. It was probably on the younger side of YA, but I thorougly enjoyed it.
I'm reading The Maltese Falcon just to have something different between two books of Alessandro Baricco's :))) the detective's assistant is called Effie and that other Effie from The Hunger Games always comes to my mind :D
Reading
- finally. What strikes me most is how well thought out this novel is. Also how easy it is to read, considering how clever it is.

I started Rampant...have u guys read this one? I really like it so far...it's my first killer unicorn book.
I'm reading
Tunnels right now, and it's pretty good. It's too soon to make a certain judgement, but I'm loving it so far.
I've been stuck on Feed, but slowly kinda making my way through it! Everyone tells me to keep reading.
Bethany, I read Rampant and the sequel Ascendant. They were both pretty good! I like the concept of them because they are so different from any other book out there.
Julie, my B&N has a whole table dedicated to that series and I always stop and stare at them, wondering if I should buy them! You'll have to let me know how that one is, so I can justify spending my money on it! :)

I agree about Rampant. It was so different from everything else that i've read...which is why I enjoyed it so much. I have Ascendant at home, ready to be cracked open any day now. I just finished book 3 & 4 of House of Night and they are getting better for me, still not my favorite series, but they're growing on me. Here goes my next to be read list, in no particular order...
I finished Tunnels, and it was so good that I checked out the sequel from the library. Deeper
is the name, and I like the cover- you can never have too many book covers of people exploring an epic cave of doom and peril. I'm also reading the second book in the Fablehaven series,
Rise of the Evening Star. It's so strange. I usually don't read book series (I guess it's a commitment issue or something), but now I'm in the middle of several series besides the two books I listed up there.
You know, the artwork on the Tunnels books kinda remind me of the Percy Jackson artwork. I really need to read those ones! I've only heard good things about them! I really want to read the Fablehaven books too! But they aren't available for the Nook!
Ohhhhh...I've been really curious about that one! Let me know how you end up liking it!
Shayna, I liked the Dark and Hollow Places! I thought it was the best of the series! There's a thread for it now, let us know your thoughts when you finish it!

My mom just bought the dark and hollow places. I was like...mom, i hate to break it to u but that is the third book of a series. her response- well, crap! lol. however, i've been inspired to give dead-tossed waves another chance. i will try to be more open this time around.

Augh, jealous! My copy is in the mail somewhere!
Finished Entangled. Not the most fantastic book ever, but definitely a compulsive read.
Bethany, doooo it!
Jen, how is that series? I've been curious about it for a while!
Laura, hope you get your copy soon! It's a pretty good book! :)
Amy, when I was at the store yesterday, I was in between buying Wither and Entwined. Wither won haha. Let me know how Entwined is!

I loved wither!!! Great read. The beginning is hard to shallow but just because it's graphic and detailed but I loved the book as a whole.
Jen, how is that series? I've been curious about it for a while!Amy - it's not bad. I can't really relate to the sisters because the whole premise is they're mortal enemies and they're gonna have to kill each other. Maybe it's because I've got sisters that I could never hurt that I have trouble relating to them. But, the story itself is interesting.
Hmmm...I might have to move it up on my TBR list. Thanks! :)
I tried to read the Prophecy Sisters...couldn't get into it. I agree with Jen that it was hard to related to it in any real way for me.AND YES!! Let us know how Entwined is...I really want to read that one!
I loved entwined. There's a review on my blog. It's a very long book but I really liked it. I'm a fan of fairytale retellings.I got lots of dystopians from vine this month, Divergent which was the best dystopian I've read since The Hunger Games, Awaken which was a cookie cutter dystopian romance that's a whole like everything else that's been released and America Pacifica which I finished half an hour ago which I have mixed feelings about. I also read Memento Nora this week, it was ok.
I'm super excited for Divergent and Momento Nora! I read Awaken a whil back, and I liked it. I liked the futuristic world. I read your review for America Pacifica, and it sounds really weird haha. Doesn't seem like a book I'd be into! You are so lucky that you get ARCs! I've wanted to start a blog just for that purpose, but I just don't have the time! Sad face...
I get the ARC's through amazon vine. I don't know why we got picked to do it, we're top 1000 reviewers now.I loved Divergent. Loved it. Momento Nora irritated me because it was REALLY short and I paid hardback prices for it.
Do you have to be invited by Amazon to be part of that program? Maybe I'll just start posting all the reviews I've already written haha :)
Love the Iron Fey series! And The Iron Queen is the best! I think I might start Wither next too!
I just finished Iron Fey! I loved the book, but man did not like the ending so well. I was hoping something else was going to happen. Anyway, on to Wither.
I just finished The Forest of Hands and Teeth and now I'm praying that whoever has the next two books in the series out at the library will return them! And soon! If not, I'll have to break down and buy them. Here's my recent TBR list of YA A&D books...
Ok.. so there's even more than that.. but I just want to read them all at once!! Arrgg!
I'm still working on a non-fiction book I started awhile back, it's good but taking me forever! I started
today and it's not bad, feels a little "twilighty" but I'm not very far into it yet. I also signed up for Pulse It by Simon and Schuster so I'm reading
online and it's good so far but the page turning is so slow it gets a little discouraging. I finished
a few days ago and it was awesome! I love Remy! Also finished
yesterday and I liked it but not as much as The Forest of Hands and Teeth.
You have to be invited to Vine, I have no idea why we were invited, we weren't super reviewers at the time although we purchase a huge amount from them. That was three years ago though.

, be sure to also read, "The Scorch Trials" and with
, you've got to finish the trilogy with "The Ask and The Answer" and "Monsters of Men."
I second all Jen's recommendations! Except I haven't read The Knife of Never Letting Go! It's on my list!
Julie, I liked Hush, Hush a lot more than it's sequel. I'm still debating whether or not I'm gonna pick up the third (I probably will just to complete my collection). I'm so so glad you liked Hollowland! I love that book! There's a thread for it in the Monthly Books topic if you wanna share your thoughts!
Thanks for the info Sara! :)
