OK, recommendations please! :P In particular, if you have any recommends for dystopian novels that aren't YA, that would be great. Would love to read one that is non-YA to see how they compare.

message 1361: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I just finished reading Lichgates (Grimoire Trilogy #1) by S. M. Boyce . I got a copy from Netgalley so I kinda assumed it was a new book, but no. It was published in 2011. And OMG, people...this is an amazing book!!! It's not dystopian, it actually fantasy, with magic and all that. But, this is one of the best, most creative, fun books that I have read in quite a while. It's only $2.99 on kindle and book 2, which is also out, is only $2.99 as well. And trust me, after you finish the first book, you will be logging on to your kindle account to buy the next one.

I loved them too! LOL Now i am sucked in to Amanda Hockings Hollowland, started it last night-almost finished..hers are ALWAYS quick reads :)

message 1366: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I liked Hollowland. I was disappointed with the second book. Hopefully you enjoy it more than I did :/

I've started reading Pantomime by Laura Lam from Netgalley. It's sort of interesting. It takes place in a circus so it kinda feels like Water for Elephants a little bit.

I've wanted to buy black city, but I'm hesitant. I'd like to hear from someone who read it first, so please let me know what you think when you're done :)

I seriously need to read A monster calls. I'll get around to it sometime, I'm sure.

I just bought and re-read Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by R.L. LaFevers in preparation for the sequel that comes out in April. This book is so amazing!!! All of you should read it!

I'm doing a lot of re-reading lately. Sorta circling back to all the good stuff that I've been missing. Just re-read Pushing the Limits (Pushing the Limits, #1) by Katie McGarry Cinder (Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer and The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer

As far as new stuff. I just read The Darkest Minds (The Darkest Minds, #1) by Alexandra Bracken and I'm in the middle of Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #2) by Laini Taylor
