Brie (faerie_brie) I am reading Across the Universe. It's my first read dealing with Sci-Fi so I have no basis of comparison but the hints of dystopia so far are fun! Definitely enjoying myself considering I bought it due to my love of the song with the same name lol
I try not to read reviews of books that instantly fascinate me until I finish-to avoid any bias or preconceived expectations. But I can't wait to finish and compare notes (:

~Sadly this discussion will greatly add to my TBR list ):(

You need to read more dystopians! They are awesome. I personally really did not enjoy Across the Universe, but I know a lot of ppl did. And if it gets you into the genre that would be great!

Sandra "Jeanz" | 49 comments The Sky Chasers series by Amy Kathleen Ryan
Bk 1 Glow
Bk 2 Spark

This is a great series. I loved Glow and recently read an ARC of Spark and loved that even more!

message 1305: by Bethany (new)

Bethany I just finished Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas , which was absolutely amazing. One of my favorite books of the year. I highly recommend it! Also just finished The Scourge by A.G. Henley and let me just say, for a book that was only $2.99, this was incredible! I would pay a lot more for this title. It was beyond worth it. One of the best PA adventures that I have read in a long while! Another coming highly recommended from me.

Sara (collectamillionyears) | 6 comments I'm a bit late to the party, but after finishing Girl of Nightmares (Anna, #2) by Kendare Blake yesterday, I was at a loss. So I dug back through the unread books on my Kindle and came across The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater , which I couldn't really get into the first time I tried.

Totally different this time around. I'm enjoying it a whole lot. The writing is amazing.

I really liked Glow (Sky Chasers, #1) by Amy Kathleen Ryan too and am excited to read Spark (Sky Chasers, #2) by Amy Kathleen Ryan . I'm glad to hear the sequel didn't disappoint you! Glow reminds me of Across the Universe Across the Universe (Across the Universe, #1) by Beth Revis but I'm having a hard time getting through that one. Maybe 5th time's the charm and I will finally finish it this time!

I really liked it Carey - it did take me a couple of chapters to really get into it, but I think part of the reason is it was quite awhile since I read Enclave. I actually couldn't remember one of the characters and had to google him before I remembered! Deuce is such a great character, and I love her and Fade together.

message 1330: by Carey (new)

Carey | 100 comments Yay! Excited to hear that Lorrie. I was a little worried with where this one was heading. Putting them in an environment like that after all their time taking care of themselves. Can't wait to read it!
