Hi Zara, I used to want to study forensic science, though was put off by my lack of A grades in science at high school! What uni are you at? Classics are not all about hard reading, though some are more difficult than others. Might I recommend some to you if you let me know what genres you like?

Allison, it's nice to see someone else from Louisiana here. Hello to everyone else new too.

Hello Nikki,
When you say "all you ladies," are you under the impression that this group is exclusively female? Not to sound accusatory, it's just that that part of your introduction threw me off...

Very nice to meet you both. I hope you do both find copies of Little Women and join us in our read. If not there is always our September read which is Anna Karenina.

Enjoy this group, it is a treasure! :)

I actually never read any of Anais Nin's fiction but I absolutely adore her diaries. A good friend of mine quoted her once to me and the first opportunity I had I looked her up. I then went to our local book store and found " The Unexpurgated Diary Of Anais Nin 1932 - 1934." (lncest From A Journal Of Love) Upon reading it I instantly fell in love with her writing and read all the volumes after. I just recently came across the earlier volumes and Im trying to work my way up to the 1932 edition.

Good to meet you all and hope to join in discussions!

I'm just a beginner so I'm glad I found this group. I hope we can be good friends :)

Currently trying to read the Great Gatsby, 30 pages in its alright so far, anyone read it?
I adore Pride and Prejudice...well the first half I never got through the whole thing but reread the start a million times.
I'm a bit of a mess really haha hi all.

Hi, Shruti (sorry you went so long without someone saying hello) and Jason.

Hi, Miriam. Welcome to the group.

I'm Lucy and, even though I love to read all genres, I'm ashamed to tell that I haven't read many classics.
But my new goal is to read a lot of them.
I just started The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. :)

Hi Naomi.
The way to learn Goodreads is to dive in. Look up reviews on books you enjoy or intend to read. You can start adding books to your own account and over time, you get a feel for the different things you can do on this site.
