@Shirley: Hello dear, welcome to the group! I love Little Women and I read it when I was in high school, I wish you like it too. Unfortunately, I did not like Pride and Prejudice and prefer Emma.

@Kwesi: Don't worry I have a health card LOL Yes, thanks! I'll join the group read as much as I can. I'll be joining the Jane Eyre in TFG.

Welcome, Jhecca!
I think the key to enjoying classics is finding classic books you that you would like to read. There are so many out there. The folks on this group have varied tastes, so we can help you out in exploring this new territory.

Welcome Sabrina! I was laid up for several months a little while ago and reading is the only way that I could get through it. How you feel better! This is a great group, I'm sure you will love it. :)

I also recommned Jane Austen's works. I've enjoyed everything read by her except Emma.

Welcome, Kim. I love Jane Eyre. I haven't worked up the courage to read Wuthering Heights yet.
Welcome, Ashley.
Welcome, Ashley.

I had a difficult time getting through that one. Didn't hold my interest, and didn't like the characters. This seems to be the one work by Austen that most divides readers -- either they really like it, or really hate it.

@Sadeem - I'm sure you'll find some classics to get you on the path. I myself have heaps to read too.

Sadeem, I felt that way for a while, until I discovered all the classic gems that were like books I wanted to read in my spare time.
