Have you ever made a New Year's resolution that worked?

I think the one that I would like to make this year, is just to be a better person and move forward. Except for people I knew, there is no need to look back. One of the things that it has taken 40+ years to learn is that we can't change our past.
I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year.

I'm thinking that the thing that doesn't work is the "from this day forward I'm a different person!" approach. Most lasting change is gradual and kind of organic, isn't it?

I get really annoyed with how full the gym always gets in January. Then they all disappear by February or March. I wonder how many millions of dollars are made by gyms collecting monthly memberships from people who stop going.

Oooh, I've kept that one too!

Grrr, and the resolvers always fill up the parking lot!

I once made and held a decent Memorial Day resolution, but that was because I drank and ate pizza for three days in a row and was sick of myself.

In general I try to strive and be a better person on a daily basis, but I can't think of a specific resolution that I actually accomplished. There must have been one but it can't have been a major one since I can't remember.
What about you?
