One word of caution regarding uploading photos of u and ur families etc. Remember this is a public group and that means anyone on goodreads can join this group and will be able to access ur photos. Indian Readers group or its moderators will in no way be responsible for any misuse of those photos. This also goes for revealing/sharing of personal data and subsequent misuse of that. So beware members before u think of sharing something here. That said, we have no power to stop u from sharing anything that u want to, we can only put up disclaimers like these!
Please don't add books to the group in any other shelf other than the to-read shelf. Also don't fill any dates in the start and end date fields and also don't mark the group reads leader as yourself. These fields are supposed to be filled when we are starting the group reads. So, for nowm if you want to add a book to the book shelf, always mark it as to-read and then add it to the appropriate shelf depending on its genre.

Don't worry. Only minor etiquettes and rules here mainly aimed at respecting each others' views, believes, cultural outlook and religion.
1. We may tease each other mercilessly, but yet maintain mutual dignity
2. Please no allusions to regional/cultural/religious superiority. We are Indians (or better still, Earthlings), we are ONE.
3. No caustic remarks on reading habits, preferences of others
4. No use of major obscenities ( minor ones are allowed)
We will add more rules as and when needed.

Welcome to the Indian Readers group. We are glad to have you here. This is an informal group for like minded people, as we all know, we Indians are a breed apart! Not that we want to shut off ourselves from the rest of the world. Ppl from everywhere welcome here, already have an Italian who is more 'Indian' than most of us!
