Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments From a man's perspective, would you advise a woman to color her hair or let it go grey?

Mark Burns (TheFailedPhilosopher) | 441 comments What am I wearing?

message 954: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments standard friday uni. fav jeans. a shirt that is comfortable but appropriate, slip on shoes and speed racer underwear

message 955: by Mark (new)

Mark Burns (TheFailedPhilosopher) | 441 comments Perfect except I'm not sure that a Grey t-shirt that says "Whose the Paddy?" could be deemed as appropriate.

Suefly | 620 comments Dear Kevin or anybody,

I'm desperate. I've been powerless for 3 days due to Hurricane Irene. When the hell will I get my power back. The food spoiled and I'm broke til pay day. And, I dropped a bottle of pickles on my foot and now I smell like a pickle and im even more pissed. Help! Errrrr....

-signed, so damn frustrated

message 957: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments Sorry for your troubles Suefly, no matter how soon you get power back it will not be quick enough.

message 958: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Suefly, if your power is off, how do you turn on your computer to post on Goodreads? Are you a witch? Or a magical angel?
P.S. Sorry to hear about the pickle stench. It will get better.

message 959: by Suefly (new)

Suefly | 620 comments Thank god for the I-Phone.

message 960: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments Suefly do you have a cool solar re-charger for your phone?

message 961: by Suefly (new)

Suefly | 620 comments No. Should I? What is it? Ahhhhhhh!

I'm a bit of Luddite when it comes to technology. The only reason I have a charged phone (ditto with owning an I-Phone) is because my hubby reminded me prior to his deployment to charge my phone in my truck.

message 962: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Hope things get back to normal for you soon, Suefly. Hang in there--and good luck!

message 963: by Cynthia (new)

Cynthia Paschen | 7333 comments No Suefly, don't stress. Charging it in the truck is obviously working. I thought it was interesting yesterday on NPR, folks were talking about what they kept in their disaster kits--water, food, toys for the kids, etc. Someone mentioned a solar charger and I thought it sounded cool.

The host mentioned her grandmother's disaster kit which included Sterno, canned goods and a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Suefly | 620 comments Thanks....at least I can flush the toilet all is not lost. :-}

That is great! When all else fails, at least The Holy Mother could be counted on for company...or, a room at the inn?

Did Lg just show me a shower drain in the thread I made her?

message 972: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) It did look like one.

message 973: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments yes, she did show you a shower drain. it is not HER shower drain as she is too sneaky to give any clues about her true identity

message 974: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I didn't see any hair in it, though.

Yep, same with church pew. I know forensics would be able to trace that pew back to me.

I'm fastidious about those things.

message 977: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments yeah LG, i was using image mapping software to reverse engineer your location based on the church pew pic to no avail

message 978: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Worth a try.

Kevin, I was able to trace you to Kokomo by triangulating your IP address, the digital signature of your deep fried turkey video, and the fillings in your teeth. I have it down to a 2-block radius now.

message 980: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) This is fun.

Why do the tips of my big toes sometimes itch, and sometimes hurt? Do I have Trench Foot?

message 982: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments Gout?

Did you pack an extra pair of socks in your rucksack, Lg?

message 985: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Rucksack. I like that word.

message 986: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
Not gout, not fungus, but I think a combination of cold weather and slightly small shoes worn with big thick socks might have something to do with it. I'm wearing thinner socks now and it has temporarily stopped. It will come back, though.

Always.

message 988: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments i don't think it's trench foot. is it all the little piggies or just ones that went to market or stayed home?

message 989: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

It's just my three two big toes.

That's a pretty polish. Is that your foot?

message 992: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I'll never tell.

message 993: by Kevin (new)

Kevin (ksprink) | 11469 comments ah, your two big toes with your third big toe being unaffected. well, as the poet meat loaf said "don't feel bad, 'cause two outta three ain't bad."

Félix (habitseven) Has anyone noticed the person in 1028 has six toes?

message 998: by Lobstergirl, el principe (new)

Lobstergirl | 24778 comments Mod
I didn't. Maybe because he/she has a narrow foot. I was more fixated on the Asian style sandal.
