What did you think of that Suzanne? I loved it!"
I really liked it! I thought it was kinda predictable, but I still loved it anyway!

I know Susan! I had tears a lot through it. I couldn't put it down.

Stop here and you have a story told many times before, as fiction and nonfiction in tales like Ellen Foster, or I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings --stories in which a young girl reveals the horrors of her childhood. Me & Emma differentiates itself with a spectacular finish, shocking the reader and turning the entire story on its head. Through several twists and turns the reader learns that things are not quite the way our narrator led us to believe and everything crescendos in a way that (like all good thrillers) immediately makes you want to go back and read the whole book again from the start.

Even the lady I ordered it from on PBS sent me a PM saying "oh the ending was so great! Enjoy!" AAAAHHHH!!!! You all are killing me! She promised to get it in the mail to me today, so I have a week of waiting!!!

Ooh! How was that, I've been wanting to read it.

It's very light, and quick, and I could probably really find faults in it if I tried, but for some reason, it was just a fun, quick read. I liked it.

Cool, can't wait to read it!

I just finished this one on my Nook, and it is lendable. If any of you ladies with Nooks would like to read it, let me know and I'll be happy to loan it to you!
Did you cry Kourtney? I did and it sucked because I listened to the audiobook at work (back when it was ok to do that, grrrrr) and tried so hard not to cry.

I think because I just finished Columbine about 5 books ago, and already went through all of my emotions, it felt more like fiction to me (albeit realistic fiction). And I figured out the ending about 75% of the way through. The fact that the author used exact events that occured with Columbine I was able to take myself out of the story and say "Oh that happened at Columbine" - like the mother committing suicide, the crosses that were erected for the victims and the shooter, and the teacher that wrote on the shooter's essay that they would "trust them" after reading the essay (whereas the essay was a lie). All three of those plot points, and a couple of others, brought me out of the story and into reality. While I couldn't put the book down at the end, it was powerful but didn't move me to tears.

Really enjoyed this book. It was predictable, but I loved it.

237. Misery Loves Cabernet by Kim Gruenenfelder
Eh...both just okay.. MLC had its laugh out loud moments but ended a little too neatly I thought but I'd recommend it to anyone who loved the first book, A Total Waste of Makeup.

SO GOOD! I can't wait to get home and start reading the next one!

I LOVED that series too!

I just read it too!!! What did you think? I was driven a bit crazy by the continuity issues. A book that will obviously appeal only to fans of the series should at least get the plots from the previous books correct!
