I thought it was great (as usual!). It was a bit different from her other books, but it has that same twist in it all of her books do.
192. Bitter is the New Black : Confessions of a Condescending, Egomaniacal, Self-Centered Smartass, Or, Why You Should Never Carry A Prada Bag to the Unemployment Office

Yes I did LOVE it. I actually listened to it on my iPod. I have a huge commute and I literally laughed out loud the whole time I was listening to it. Hilarious....

Well, I'm finally pretty much done with the office remodel and I'm mostly caught up on everything that fell by the wayside because of it. So....no, not really. As evidenced by my texting with you this morning also. LMAO!!!! Oh, and guess who called in sick today? No surprise there!!!

I LOVE Jen Lancaster!!! I've read the first three, I have the fourth and I'm trying to get the fifth. I don't usually keep books once I've read them, but these are definitely keepers!!!!

Surprise, surprise! It's Monday and she called in. LUCKY YOU!!!
I know! Too bad the other one didn't. I'll have to call you later and tell you about his blow up on Friday. It was funny. He's STILL pissy today!

Totally ok! We have a lot of back and forth posts going on so it was bound to happen :)
196. The Total Tragedy of a Girl Named Hamlet by Erin Dionne
Didn't like it as much as her first book, but still a fun and easy read.

I liked it but I thought it was kinda slow in the beginning. It could have been just me. It picked up more for me she got to Australia.

I read that too a l-o-n-g time ago, can't remember what it was about. But it was the first book of Clare Naylor's that I read and it made me want to read the rest of hers.

Did you ever read the rest?
Did any of you read "The Goddess Rules" by Clare Naylor? I think I read that one after "Dog Handling" and liked it even better. I'd classify "Dog Handling" as more of a fun read (and yes, it must've picked up after she got to Australia because that's the part of the book I remember). "The Goddess Rules" stuck with me more because I really liked the characters.
I have The Goddess Rules: A Novel, and I've placed it in the next challenge that starts in April. I've read all of Clare Naylor's other books, my favorites being the ones she co-wrote: The Second Assistant: A Tale from the Bottom of the Hollywood Ladder and The First Assistant: A Continuing Tale from Behind the Hollywood Curtain.
I'm a sucker for the behind the scenes Hollywood books. :)
