I haven't been on the "home" page much, mostly on our group page. I know, slap my hands please. :)

Audio books are still books! Feel free to add :)

Wish I knew! It wasn't what I was expecting. A lot of it was just about classic works of literature without giving any advice on identifying tropes and whatnot in current novels. He addressed some interesting things, but I was a bit disappointed. I've heard that Foster's How To on literature is better, so I'm going to give that a try as well.

That's disappointing. Let me know about the other one. I think it would be interesting to learn how to look at it from that angle.

23. Ruby's Diary
Such an inspiring book. For anyone that hasn't watched the show yet, you should. The new season starts at 8pm (EST) on March 6th on the Style channel. I watched the first season and I think most of the second. This woman amazes me with her determination and her personality. She's exactly what they say in the book - magnetic. She really draws you in. I really recommend both the show and the book.

What did you think of the Dean Koontz? Do you read many of his books? He's been my favorite author since I was 12 and I've read all of his books. I really, really didn't care for this one. It wasn't any good until the last 100 pages.

Ditto, Stacy! I think ever since I started taking psych classes, I stumbled upon Dean Koontz and fell in love with him....I'm always in such awe at the storylines he comes up with and how they are so multifaceted! I may have to incorporate some of his books into my challenge soon.

I know - I love how his stories can't really be classified to just one genre. If you haven't read it yet, my favorite of his is The Taking. I can't say too much about it or I'd give something away, but it is seriously just an awesome book. Another really good one is Breathless.

A lot of them are pretty scary. I usually can't read them before I go to bed. This one in particular, I've listened to the audiobook before too and there's one part that's especially creepy. It was summer and broad daylight, I was listening to it in my car and I got shivers all up & down my spine.
His newest book just came out the last Tuesday of December and I have been (im)patiently waiting for the library to get it. I've been on the wait list for it since this summer!

I LOVE Dean Koontz. I've been reading him since high school, and most of my bookshelf is him. Lol, my friends make fun of me. Like Cathy said, I love his story lines and I feel like he never comes up with the same thing twice. And he uses dogs a lot, which I love! My absolute favorite is Odd Thomas. I haven't read The Taking yet, but I have it. I just haven't gotten there. I can't wait for his new one either!
This one was not my favorite. I actually had to coach myself to keep going. But even my least favorite books by him are still better than some other ones I read. I laugh at my list for this challenge, because its all chick lit, and then every once in a while is a Dean Koontz. :)

43. Perfect by Sara Shepard
44. Unbelievable by Sara Shepard
45. My Fair Succubi by Jill Myles

That was a good one. :) I love how he's able to scare the daylights out of you, in the day light! LOL!

I was a bit horrified when I discovered Tracey is only 25. I feel super-old.

I'm starting to feel that way too a little bit when I read these. Then I get on a YA kick and I feel really old. LOL!

YA doesn't usually make me feel old. Probably because the focus is on the teens and I remember being in situations like that. However, if they make cultural references in regard to the parents, then I realize how old I am. I recently read The Secret Life of Ms. Finkleman (really good MG) and the parents referenced 90s bands of their youth; that was scary.

definitely not a chick lit, but a cute little read with quirky medical stories of the past
