Jen B (jennybee618) Chanpreet, you are amazing! How do you read so quickly?! You've just read more books in a few days than I've read in two months! :)

To be honest Jen, of the 7 books I've posted in the past two days, 3 books are ones I read earlier in the year and just remembered reading. :p

I'm not really sure how I read so fast. I believe it's because my mother instilled a love of reading in us from a very young age. Thanks to her, I was reading at the age of 3! She used to take us to the library once a week to spend hours at a time, and we'd come home with 30 more books at the end of the visit. I'll grab a book and start reading and won't be able to do anything until I finish it! :)

I'm so jealous of you Chanpreet! I wish I could read more. As it is, my reading time is going to get cut into even more since I'm starting classes again tomorrow. :(

message 509: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne | 767 comments Stacy- I can relate about the classes. I've been in school for the past 2 years so that took up a lot of my reading time. I would so much rather be reading than studying or reading my boring textbooks. However, my last class is tomorrow night! So excited!

Of course, now that I'm done with classes, I have been trying to find some new ones to take. ha. But I want to take some writing classes, so that is different.

message 510: by Becky (new)

Becky | 73 comments I too am extremely jealous Chanpreet.
My reading time has increased due to me taking the commuter rail into work due to the insane cost of gas. Although I dislike the train, I like that I can relax and get a guaranteed 2 hours of reading in 5 days a week. It is a little difficult at home since I have a 9 month old...

Oh Stacy! If I can read with the classes that I had you can too!!! I have Accounting 2 this six weeks. All I can say is I am glad I am taking only that class. I need a BREAK!!! Algebra is OVER!!! YAY!

Good luck! I am sure we will both need it. :)

Congrats Suzanne! I will be so happy when I'm done. After the two that I'm taking now, I will only have 18 left. Seems like a lot, but compared to what I've already taken, it's really not that much.

Wow, two hours worth of commuting?! I can't even imagine! That has GOT to suck. At least you can read though. :)

Preet (chanpreet) Good luck with classes Stacy! I've got to stop my reading soon for a while. I've got board exams for med school and although I'd rather read than study, it's got to be done!

I do wish there was a profession/job where I got paid to read!:p

Oh Tara, I almost cried when I looked at the syllabuses...syllabi? How the hell do you pluralize that word?? Between the two classes, I have assignments due every day but Thursdays. And, as you know, the daily participation on top of it. And, each class has a big project due at the end. What a way to jump back into it, eh? 42 days and counting.....

I probably did tell you before, but most likely it has changed since. LOL! But this is it! I'm not changing anymore! :) I'm going for a Bachelor's in Human Resources with a minor in Psychology.

Kourtney (readthateventually) | 1215 comments NOOOO STACY DON'T DO IT!!!! I've been in HR for the past 7 years as I only have a bachelor's in Psych and without a masters you can't do anything with it...IT'S A CULT!!! Talk to me about a day in my life and you may rethink that :p (although yesterday was my last day at my job and I start my new HR job on Monday so I'm a bit happier at the moment)

LOL, I don't live in a big crazy town Full O' Crazies like you. ;) (I remember some of the stuff you put in your last email - insane!!!) I think it'll be ok (I hope). I've already dabbled in HR in the job I had before this, and my mom has been in HR at her company for something like 25 years. I just didn't know what else to do. I didn't want to take anymore business classes and anything else I'm interested in - I live in the wrong place for. :( So, since I already took a couple of HR classes for my Associate's, I figured, why not?

Kristin Hannah's books have always been good and mostly tear-jearkers. But she writes so well, you end up really feeling for the characters and just can't help yourself!

I think that was just put in to show one of the characters as being an a$$. Or at least a real git. I've heard some pretty interesting laughs, so it's not hard to believe someone could laugh like that. :)
