My Christmas reading list c/o KarenH
Books that will make you laugh ~
Like No Other Lover by Julie Anne Long
HR/country house party,different classes
Some "laugh-out-loud" scenes but a few touching
moments as well. One of my top 5 all-time faves.
A Matter of Class by Mary Balogh
HR/arranged marriage
Probably her shortest book but my favorite by MB.
Has a twist to the plot that rocks!
The Perfect Rake by Anne Gracie
HR/hero love at first sight
Sweetest story about a feisty heroine & the
gorgeous rake determined to win her heart.
Books that will make you cry ~
Ride the Fire by Pamela Clare
HR/strangers to lovers
Intense, emotional story set in the American
wilderness about 2 tortured souls healed through
the power of love.
Wicked Angel by Julia London
HR/forbidden love
Heartwrenching story about a duke who falls
hopelessly in love with a country girl...yet
he is engaged to someone else. Still my all-time
favorite HR!
Laird of the Mist by Paula Quinn
HR/medieval, sworn enemies
If you've never read a medieval/Highlander romance
this is a great place to start. Callum MacGregor
is one of the hottest kilt-wearing heroes ever.
Books that will make you *sigh* ~
The Duke by Gaelen Foley
HR/different classes
Mshj, it looks like you haven't had much success
with Ms. Foley, but this book will remedy that.
A passionate love story that breaks through the
barriers erected by Regency England society.
Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage by Jennifer Ashley
HR/second chances
Sweet, romantic story about an unconventional
hero who is determined to win back the love
of his estranged wife.
*I've read this one- 4 star. These were the three reads I was not so sure about so that's a good start. Lovely hero and heroine and appealing family. Love the reconciliation theme.
Seduced By His Touch by Tracy Anne Warren
HR/forced marriage
Most *sigh-worthy* of them all. See my review

1001 books-
Elegance of the Hedgehog?-hmmm- I never get along with French writes- too much exitentialism
finish Pamela?- good to clear out one of the older books and it's not super long
The children's book- soso reviews
Home by Marilynne Robinson- better reviews-masterpiece?
