I do every single one of those things, pretty much. Don't know if good or bad.
Did anyone go the premiere of Desolation of Smaug? I went as Bilbo Baggins. It was a double feature, so they played the first movie as well.
During the Misty Mountains song I started singing along... and then so did the person next to me. And then so did the person behind me. And eventually, I got EVERYONE IN THE FREAKING THEATER TO SING IT WITH ME. I felt awesome... I also did that with "Blunt the Knives". It was the best day ever. >.<

(because they obviously are)"
Hobbits and elves are way better than vampires any day

Keep it up!! Most people I am sure enjoy the enthusiasm expressed by those who really get "into the moment."
I often wonder what it would be like to be in a theater watching all three LOTR extended versions WITH ONLY TRUE TOLKIENITES PRESENT!! What an experience that would be. I'd pay my nickel to be there!

yes! it was so good! those are the people i want to watch these movies with :D

I would LOVE to go to a theater where they play all three! :O
@Thuan That sounds awesome! I wish I was there for that, bro! Them hobbits tho...
@Andrew Woah, thanks! :O That's really nice of you to say! :D

I don't think I would want to attend one of those in an Orc or Sauron costume!!! :-D

I think it would be hysterical to see someone in a Sauron costume...that is, if they were just dressed up as the eye.

I can usually pick up on most of their quotes, that is until they go into the chick flick movies. Then I'm a goner!!

Yep, Strider, you're a nerd. (:

And something I would like to add: You know you're addicted to Lord of the Rings when you actually start bowing to people when you meet them! I confess, I have done this, and it is slightly awkward in a hick town North West United States. (:

For me, one of the measures of how much I have entered into the story I am reading is how much of the story is revealed in my everyday conversations. I believe my "quotes" from LOTR give away both my love of the books and their effects on my thinking. Or, I guess we could say that our quotes from our readings we use in everyday conversations confirm they were successful in touching part of our souls. I know that is often how I can judge the effects an author's work has had on my mind.

Again I agree with you, LOTR is one of the very few works that touched me in such a way as to stay fresh in my mind all these years.

Definitely learn Quenya! I am learning Sindarin right now.
