Jaelyn clenched her fist until it bled, and started to convulse, screaming almost unintelligibly, all that they could make out was a distorted, "NO!"

((should I rp the physician or someone else?))
((I'll do it if nobody else wants to.))
When Ben touched her she screamed, finally unclenching her hand. Two rings, one with a blue stone and one with a red one dropped to the floor with a noticeable clang.
Jaelyn stilled.

Jaelyn stilled.

The physician's bushy eyebrows rose in surprise at the scream. He immediately set about taking his tools out of his tool kit, and went to the girl's bedside.
Nadira hovered behind him, waiting for instructions.
((Could someone catch me up and tell me where I could pop in?))
Okay. Ben and Jaelyn have been rivals in a sort of world that is in our modern day but still focuses in education on things such as apprenticeships. Most schools focus on one thing other than a spread out education. So when they are at a riverside they find a scarab golden beetle but they have no idea what it is. Once they touch it they get sent back to this ancient egypt. Jaelyn notices the beetle pop open and sees two rings, she takes them right before they go to this other world. When they get there Jaelyn collapses in pain supposedly caused by the rings but for some reason she thinks she'll die if she lets them go.
They two time travelers are found by Akila. Akila's sister shows up(Nadira) and gets a physician.
By the way in case anyone is interested I have something planned coming up. I've noticed a little lull since we first started so I wanted to say that.

((For your charrie maybe she arrives at the port unnoticed that she was there by the people on the ship and she hears the screeching I mentioned.))

"I'm not sure," Nadira said, "Maybe it has to do with this." She noticed two objects that fell out of Jaelyn's hand. She bent to pick them up. When her fingers brushed their gold surfaces, Nadira felt as if fire consumed her hand. She gasped and quickly drew back. "What-What is that?"

The physician busied himself by placing the device over the area where Jaelyn's heart would be. He asked in a low voice, "Can you please tell me your name?"
Val raised an eyebrow at the screeching noises. She shrugged. She had nothing else to do, so why not start her new life with a little bit of adventure? Val walks in the direction of the noise with curiosity on her mind.
Jaelyn reached weakly, "I need them." she whispered, "I'll die without them."
((P.S. If Ben touches the blue ring he wont feel any pain, but if he touches the red, BURN.))
((P.S. If Ben touches the blue ring he wont feel any pain, but if he touches the red, BURN.))
She seemed to be better than she'd been a moment before but she was obviously in no condition to rise.
(Val)Following the screech she found herself on the walls of the city. There was another screech. It was coming from. . .over the side?

Nadira went to her bedside. "What was it that brought you here?"
Suddenly a bell rang throughout the city. "ATTACK!" screamed someone in the background, "THE CITY IS UNDER ATTACK!"
A hand reached up out of the darkness towards Val. A tan face appeared followed by a mouth with a knife placed inside. The man reached the top and grasped his weapon. "Hello pretty." he said.

Val gasped and frowned. Her lip curled and she kicked out at a pressure point on the side of his leg. While he was distracted, she ran to boxes of crates piled up at the side of the wall. With an impressive leap, she climbed up the boxes to the top of the wall, intending to jump over.
The man she had defended herself against was right behind her, Anger searing into her back. Just as Val reached the top another face popped over the wall and grinned, grabbing her wrists and climbing over.
The other man, behind her, had reached her.
The other man, behind her, had reached her.
"Everything." She almost sobbed but managed to grab to grab a hold of the red ring. Complete surprise pervaded her face as she held it, unnatural strength filled her body and she stood up. Curious she knelt down and tried to touch the blue ring. Her hand flew back as if it had been burned. She hissed, "So that is what was hurting me she." said. She looked back at Ben, "Where. . ." She managed as she finally became fully aware of her surroundings. At that exact moment the alarms bells rung through the air, piercing the room.

Jaelyn clutched her red ring and then hesitantly slid it onto her right ring finger. Nothing happened. Jaelyn looked at Ben and then grasped the dagger. "Let's follow her." she managed. Then she went after Akila.
She hesitated a moment before she left and took out a handkerchief, picking the blue ring up before she went through the door. These rings had something to do with them coming here and she darn well wasn't taking any chances that it was essential, no matter how dangerous they were. She felt a mild throb even through the cloth but it wasn't as bad as before, she grimaced and moved on.
The corridors were in chaos. People ran everywhere and it was obvious that the people of this city weren't ready for the attack. When they reached outside they saw the men. Darker skinned than the ones in the city and armed.
Hands came from behind, grasping Jaelyn from around the waist. "Ah, how slim!" commented the man that had grabbed her. He was dark skinned, but also had hair that had been bleached a light brown. His face was handsome and he obviously was an invader. "Come with me my dear." he said. "It's much more fun in Kimero than a rural town like this."
Jaelyn froze, then her temper kicked in. She slammed her foot down on her attacker's, causing him to curse and let go. Then she dashed away only to have her wrist snacked up at the last second. Still recovering the man grinned playfully, "Don't think your going to get away that easy." he said. Before she could protest he hauled her up and swung her over his shoulder, fireman style. She screamed in rage, flailing wildly.

The man looked quizzically at them both. His eyes flickered a moment behind them and then he smiled. Before Ben could turn another invader slammed the hilt of his sword into the back of his head. Then, when he crumpled, repeated the gesture, just to be sure. Jaelyn screamed, "Ben!" vainly trying to turn around.

Akila whirled and expertly disarmed the attacker, then knocked him out.
When she turned around the man was at the gate, across the yard, smiling. "Pretty as ever Akila!" he yelled with a grin. "Raiding you town was a blast!" he said, chuckling.
Then he turned away, mounting a horse fast, burdened as he was. Only a hint of nervousness, in the form of a quick glance back at Akila, was shown.

As she left the town she saw fires in the distance and horror of horror the town's flag was being pulled down, a Kimero flag replacing it.
The raider was far ahead of her and going fast. Then, beside her she saw a band of raiders. With sharp eyes they spotted her and one smiled, "Trying to escape are we?" he said. The group of around 5 men surged forward.
((I feel bad for Ben. He was knocked out and left behind.))

Akila screamed a battle cry and expertly swung her sword. She downed three men, then urged her horse faster. She was catching up to Jaelyn and her captor.
He smiled and with one spurt of energy disappeared around a bend. When she followed she was met with a distressing sight, the main camp of the invaders. Around 50 men were swarming in and around the tents.
The Raider disappeared into the midst of the men.
The Raider disappeared into the midst of the men.
Meanwhile back at the city things had slowed down. The raiders had taken completely over and every former citizen of the city was either in chains or making their way towards a massive grave that had been dug by the side of the city.
Among them was Ben, unconscious they had placed him in a link of captured men and woman. A young frightened girl sat besides him. She'd seen him go down and when he'd been chained up she'd been by his side, allowing him to rest his head in her lap. The girl Liela, for that was her name, was worried. Then young man had been beaten over the head violently.
Then with puzzlement she saw something that had fallen to the ground beside Ben. It was strange, a blue ring. She tried to touch it, but immediately was shocked. She bit back a cry of pain. She couldn't draw attention. In her new situation, she knew without a doubt already, attention was dangerous.

Almost 50 pairs of eyes turned, seeing Akila, but the raider didn't appear. A group of men, seeing her started moving forward. A deep-voiced one laughed, "Shouldn't your be running, little flower girl?" he said.
The deep-voiced man startled a bit, "Looking for Prince Barr are we?" he grinned, not the bit perturbed that she was ignoring him. "If I know his he's already gone. Wanna know where?" He said.
The men around them grew tense, with their sword out. She was surrounded. The man laughed at her again, "It's alright. I think I can take care of one flower-girl." he said with a chuckle. Then in a lower voice he spoke to her, "How about we go over there for a private talk." he said nodding to a path to her left that sloped up and around.
With a smiled he led both of them up the bath, the eyes of the other men trailing behind them. As they disappeared around the bend the man gave a sigh of relief. "You know Akila, someday your gonna get yourself killed and we're all going to mourn."
He said pealing off his beard and a wig and discarding his smelly cloak. The disbandment revealed frighteningly red hair on a still very buff man. Laughing lines creased his face and he wore a fairly clean brown robe.
