((Actually the RP is set in a different dimension than ours. It doesn't follow our history. The two main countries are Paytah and Kimero. They've always had bad relations but around 20 years ago they were able to get a peace of a sorts. Akila was an ambassador to Kimero from Paytah. Akila had a lover there named Barr. Her brother used this to his advantage to try to assassinate Barr's father who was a high official. Instead Barr's brother died saving their father, making Barr the heir. Akila's brother was executed.

That's why Kimero is making raids on Paytah. Where Nadira is. Technically the brother that was executed was Nadira's too (we came up with this while Ji Mei was gone) so she's in a dangerous situation while being in a city that men from Kimero have captured. The man who kidnapped Jaelyn was Barr.))
