Nothing But Reading Challenges discussion
Let's Talk About: Your Books
>
What are you reading AND what do you think?
Yesterday i finally finished
and i liked it a lot. Now i am working my way through
and hen i am done with that i will read
.
Currently reading
which is like a comic book good v evil wild ride
and
which is a fabulous YA dystopian novel. The world building is a mix between Hunger Games, Wool and Across The Universe, but still completely unique
I have a couple BOM and challenge books that I'm reading right now (All the Light We Cannot See & My Name Is Rapunzel), but I am planning to read a bunch of my books for review over the next couple of months. I have so many right now! I'm currently reading Elizabeth Is Missing, but I have about 12 more after that and they all sound great. So behind!
I'm currently reading The Life of Pi and I must say this book is a million times better than the movie. It's definitely a must read.
I've finally started focusing again and have gotten through a few books recently. I'm trying to clean up my "currently reading" shelf. I've gone back to My Name Is Rapunzel, which I never finished from our BOM last month. I'm about 100 pages in and so far I think it's just okay.
I'm currently reading
.I just started it. I've watched the movies before, but the book have more details, so I'm liking it. It's like I'm reading a new story.
I got this some time last year. Well. I guess this says something about letting books sit too long.
I can't relate to the main character at all and the writing style annoys me to no end. Every time I see the words 'for sure' I start thinking that this is why I search and delete all unnecessary filler words whenever I write something - because they're annoying when you actually SEE them, because you'll see them every time they're there when you know that they are.
Another fabulous character-driven novel by Moriarty filled with a bit of mystery and lots of humour. Highly recommended
I just started Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe and I'm looking forward to starting The Next Time You See Me for a buddy read tomorrow.
Started
last week.It took me a while to warm up to this book but now I think it's very interesting. Especially since the italien influences are nice.

I'm just bought this book yesterday.. looking forward to reading it, heard a lot of positive reviews..
I'm currently reading The Exiled Queen so far it's interesting, I enjoyed the previous book of this series so I hope this one is as good or better...
Reading
Gone Bitch: A Parody of Gone Girlafter reading
Gone GirlDefinitely fun if you've read the original
Currently Reading:
This is my second time reading Deadline, although this time I'm reading the series via audiobook. I feel like something is lost in the audiobook as I don't feel like I'm as into it as when I read it. But then again, it's probably because I'm working while listening. Still a big tearjerker though!
Quarantine has been an interesting series in the fact that the first two were boring almost all the way through, but the ending caught me and made me want to read more! Master of the cliffhanger apparently. The 3rd one has been decent so far. A lot more action then the first too books, but very gruesome and graphic.
I just finished reading
It was a lot of fun, eerie and had some fun twists at the end. I'm starting to enjoy this author a lot.
I'll soon be starting
was a really fun read. So glad for the recommendation. Next up--and just before my book-shopping spree this weekend--is
.

Nice! What did you think of Seraphina? It is been on my list for ages

I'm about halfway through
which is book 2 in the series and I'm really enjoying it. I don't know a lot of American history so it is quite fascinating learning about how the police force started in New York and the terrible practice of slave catching
I'm also (slowly) getting through
which is book 3 (and I think it is a trilogy still?). I say slowly because it is such a big book and other books are getting in the way... like...
which I have never read before, but we are starting it today for our BOM

I was so excited to learn that there was going to be a new book in the series after so many years.
I'm thinking of rereading books #2 and #3 to catch up.

I finished it. It was surprisingly good. I really liked the main character and the story was pretty engrossing. I resist YA books a lot, but maybe I should give them more of a chance now and again.
Noir wrote: "I resist YA books a lot, but maybe I should give them more of a chance now and again."I used to avoid them like the plague until a friend recommended a few favorites. Now I give YA more of a chance. I am a lot more picky with YA than any other genre, though.

Ditto over here. I may stick to horror-like YA books from now on after this one lol I seem to like 'em.

Karen wrote: "Should we set up a BR in December? (it will count for TTIII!)"Sure! Any particular day? I'll be in Mexico from December 10-18, but I can just finish it before I leave or comment when I get back.
I just found out my library already has a copy :). I thought I'd have to beg them.
Okay, so I have finished with
and was not wild about it. I also went through
, which was okay, if disappointing (I wanted more spooks and scares).Next I'll be delving into
--and I am very excited about it. I've come to enjoy Wendy Webb's books.
Noir wrote: "I also went through

It's not scary at all. And to be honest, I thought it would be more mystery. I feel like the whole crime part was solved in like...ten pages.
