What are you reading AND what do you think?

I haven't read it since I had to in school, but its the one book that sticks with me. Learned a lot by reading it. Probably should re-read it and see what an "adult" prospective would reveal.

I couldn't put the Host down.

I really wanted to reread that series before the movie but I don't want to pay for a copy and my library wait list is really long.

I had it checked out but I couldn't get past the first chapter.

I am on the second chapter now and it's still extremely weird, I don't know that I'll be able to finish it but I am going to try.

I am only 23 pages in but already I am roped in and can't seem to put it down> I am guessing today is going to be a reading day.

Oh well, there's always the movie. How far did you get?

I think Under the Never Sky is Feburary's flavor of the month. I've been seeing it around a lot lately. Is it any good?

Is Under the Never Sky any good? I've read a few of the most recently hyped books and been disappointed. Yay, library... at least they were free.

Do they have a suggestion button? I actually asked my library to buy more paperback cozies and they did. I also ask for specific books. If enough people ask, they do go and buy them.

Ours is really, really well hidden. I think I found it in the FAQ section. Something like "What if a book I want isn't in the catalog?" It goes into ILL, with link, and request the library purchase the book, with link. And that's the only place in the whole website I found the link to request they buy a book.

Why would both of our libraries do it? I wonder if there's some company that sells pre-built websites for libraries. That's a really odd coincidence.

I just finished that last night, Laura - loved it. It will be interesting to hear what you think. Also bumped into The Bungalow somewhere and thought it looked good - glad to have the good review.

Chapter 4, I don't think I'll be watching the movie. If I didn't like the book I don't tend to watch the movies. I'm starting Camouflaged Killer: The Shocking Double Life of Canadian Air Force Colonel Russell Williams now since I just finished Don't Breathe a Word

Mine is the same way. but my librarians love me so I didn't have to search for it they actually pulled everything up and requested a purchase for me = )
I'm really liking Under the Never Sky.
I'm not done yet , I have about 79 pages left. I'm glad it's gonna be a trilogy, because I don't think she could answer all my question and wrap everything up in one book.
It did take me about 60 pages or so for me to really get into the story.

Natasha, where do you live? My county (Tarrant [Fort Worth, TX] County) does the same thing. I can also get books from Saginaw, Burleson, Benbrook...just to name a few!

That's good to know, Rot & Ruin is the one I bought last night! I was looking for another of the Joe Ledger's but they didn't have any others. I have a feeling all of his books are ending up on my shelf soon lol

Conroe, huh? Have you ever been to Freebird's? One just opened down there a week or two ago. Really good burritos. I worked there for four years before I quit to go to school. Best and funnest job I have ever had!

I always seem to be the minority when it comes to these books.

I didn't think this series was fabulous, it was just okay, but I do like the Infernal devices series.

Yes ma'am. They are open! mhy boyfriend still works for the 'Bird (which is also where we met SIX years ago) so I still get the inside scoop on everything. I would love to live in Austin one day. We are slowly working towards that goal. Every time I visit I fall more in love with that city. Dallas does have wonderful places to eat. If I had the money I would be eating out breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
