ABANDONED. A childrens book from before 1960 about 3 mice

I'm looking for a childrens book that my grandma had when she was a child. She doesn't remember much about it but she says that there were 3 mice. One of the mice she thinks was named McGillicuddy. She says that the mice went out to play in the rain in their golashes. Thanks for any help! :D
