Me: Did you hear about the ten year old who shot his mom in Ohio?
Me: Is it supposed to be that formal? It's really good, but the last sentence seems stilted: one may bring out a weapon to defend oneself should the thief assault one.
Me: It sounds good Ivister.
Me: Light, we need to have Alexa and Matt go on a date!!!!!!

The "right to bear arms" strikes a chord. Does that mean any citizen has a right to carry an uzi?
If you want counterarguments, check out the national groups which are against bearing arms and want more gun control. Maybe look at the parental groups on gun control to keep it out of schools; that more than likely will be a touch more themely to your paper.
Me: Church wa alright.
Something very awful happened. >_<

Me: Well, this is what I have so far:
However, as with the case of the recent shooting in Arizona, it brings to attention the problems with the second amendment. Those who abuse the power of having the ability to carry a gun have, and will continue, to harm and kill the innocent. The cons of the amendment are, despite the pros, fatal. Several thousand have died each year due to shootings of sociopaths and psychopaths; however, it is still part of the US Constitution.
~
I really could care less about this right now, so if it turns ramble-y, that's why.

Me: Counterargument to your counterargument: sociopaths and psychopaths are usually proclaimed innocent by reason of insanity. There's no stopping them no matter what the rules are.

Me: If you need help, we're all here.

I like your first two sentences. You could add in additional cases like Columbine, JFK assassination, DC Sniper (lots to pick from). Cons, good. Then you could follow that up with many states have instituted gun control laws as a means to prevent these people from quicker access to guns. The American Rifle Association (they're pro-gun) says "quote 'em on their main stance" and counter with an anti-gun group :)
End paragraph can be there's many pros and cons. Pros, we can protect our nation. Cons, folks abuse it which leads to (maybe use a stat). end statement: continues to be a debate. I pick X side b/c of Y. What bout you? or something weird.
Meh. rambling.
Iviana (The Sign Painter!) wrote: "Me: That's true. But they acquired the gun."
Me: Herm. Philosophical question-- is it the gun that kills people or the person behind it?
I'M TOO TIRED TO THINK OF THAT.

Matt: O.o You're setting me up on a blind date?!
Me: Be patient! But I think that Alexa and Matt should get to know each other before they go out on a date. =)
Amber: YAY! Pretty earrings!!!
Me: Okay!

Me: The good thing about this is that I met the minimum of two paragraphs, and this is for History, and my history teacher is really lenient about these things, so I don't have to have the whole debate up.
I see your point, though.
I'm so tired from just working on this, I don't care anymore. Okay, I lied. I care. But just not enough to do an incredible job on it. ;-;

Me: I know how that feels.
I typed up my Latin summative in half an hour, the morning when it was due, terrible hungover--

Me: We made it a rule, that whenever we talk to each other via email, we'd do it in all caps, unless we needed to use "retarded letters."
Example 1:
Her:
HEY CASSIDY, DO YOU KNOW ANY SHORT BOOKS I CAN READ?
CUZ WE HAVE A ONE PAGER COMING UP, AND I DOUBT I’LL BE ABLE TO FINISH HARRY POTTER THAT FAST -_______-
Me:
OI. YOU... >_< YEAH I DO.

history project thus far:
The second amendment to the constitution states, “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.” Answers derived from the statement are as follows: any citizen of the United States of America have all right to purchase and keep any sort of weaponry, so long as they do not hold another citizen and/or attack him by the use of his weapon.
Above all, the second amendment to our constitution allows the People to have a method of self defense in case of emergency. For example, in the case of theft, or home invasion, one may bring out a weapon to defend oneself should the thief assault one.
