I know a lot of people who when they were younger got a tattoo but when older regretted the entire decision and had to pay expensive surgery to remove the tattoo.

Also, best never get a tattoo while you're drinking. What may seem BEAUTIFUL could the next morning be a horrible mess. The "beer goggles" applying to the opposite sex applies to tattoos, too ;)

LOL, that's so true, Tanja. I'm getting one on my shoulderblade and I've had the idea since I was thirteen. I'm doing the tattoo experiment, though. I'm hanging up the picture next to my bed and if I can stand looking at it for a year and still think it's pretty/interesting/desirable, I'm good.

My friend got a tattoo of a pot plant when he was drunk on his arm, then he changed it to a lion.

My friend has the prettiest ones. She did them herself though, she stuck safety pins through her ears and gradually put bigger and bigger beads through them. They're small but adorable.

Now I don't condone tats. Some I do like to admire. For instance, Jeffrey from Project Runway:
