BUT HER PERSONALITY ISN'T NICE.
HOW DID SHE GO FROM THE OLD AVERY TO THIS:
Personality: Avery has changed. Quite a bit.
With her brothers, she was cold, ruthless and quick to torture. She didn't have any second thoughts in her head, and she refused to let anything get to her.
Now? Avery is broken, almost. Her eyes are dull. Her voice is rarely used and comes out in croaks when she speaks. Her expression is almost always solemn, none of the smirk left in it. She almost never uses her powers of torture, so they- along with her desire to torture- are leaving, slowly and surely. Avery tends to stay out of the past and hates talking about her brothers. She refuses to speak of Metus or Jen or Bennett and Jasmine, as those were the people she was closest too.

Btw, are we going to have a thread -- What I Did Last Fall? It's kinda like your school writing project, what I did last summer. People could write a brief summary about what their character did during the fall since we're leaping ahead a year!
Or we'll just create writings to post ;)

You've mastered walking but how many times have you tripped? Other factors influence the outcome.
Even the most hardened Olympian can make mistakes. You've seen the top Olympians fall short of their previous records or even crash during a simple practice run. (This actually happened for a bobsledder who died.)
Weather is another influence. If it's extremely windy, hitting the target is harder because you have to take the time to re-adjust for the wind. Rain causes your sight to be blurry. And so on.
If someone is attacking you, as an archer, it's extremely difficult to find a spot to rest and take aim without getting hit a number of times. This is why ranged fighters tries to avoid melee fighters because they don't stand a chance up close.
Aside from that, it makes a poor character that I wouldn't want to roleplay combat with. If you've predetermined that your character shall always win because he/she never misses, how fun is the conflict of combat? There's no chance your opponent wins because you've already decide that will never happen.
Just my own pet peeve.
