The woman's eyes turned to the display and she shook her head, "Pathetic. Really someone with her reputation should have done better. No creativity." She smiled, "We'll fix that."
She took out a notebook and wrote something on it. Putting it away she looked back at the others in the room. "All of you but the real Aven are allowed to go to a room down the hall that has some very delightful edibles. She held her hand in front of the door, a mocking look in her eyes again.

"Would. . .you. . .shut your trap!" Still lying on the ground Knightz' raised her hand and shot it out, holding a lit cigarette. Without any hesitation she rammed the glowing ember straight into Mira's left eye.
((I meant that to sound like she'd already done it. I mean she did it when people were off guard.))
((Good point. Knightz aim is off and she gets the spot above her eye. Which would distract her enough for Miki's next maneuver.))
Knightz launched herself back, wincing and holding her ribs. The fall hadn't been kind on her. "Why you doing this?" said Miki quietly and as the two were close together no-one else heard what Knightz said.
((By the way after having something heavy fall on her Mira should have some boo-boos, I know I would.))

Knightz smiled, "Own you?" she chuckled, "That's a coward's excuse. They'll only respect you, give you power and freedom when you prove you deserve it."
She started to circle, her eyes on Mira.
She started to circle, her eyes on Mira.

"Anyone can die in an instant. It's a risk we each take living." she gave a rueful chuckle, "Though some get it harder than others."
Finally she stood straight and gave a puff of another cigarette that had magically appeared in her hand, lit. "Ah this whole deal reeks of stupidity." she said nonchalantly.

Miki nodded, "You've got the idea. Now before we end up fried chicken by those smelly controllers attack me. I'm going to drop on you again. This time don't get up." she said so quietly that Mira almost couldn't hear.
Disappearing with her usual elusiveness she reappeared and fell again. This time neither of them moved.
The woman eyed both of them, frown on her face and then turned away. "Clean it up." she said to a man outside the room as she disappeared down the hall.
(G2g to bed sorry.)

As the two of them disappeared into a underground tunnel Knightz was limp. The moment they and their captors were out of anyone's sight Miki spoke. "Now!"
Viciously she yanked herself out of the man's grip and slammed her elbow into his face. He crumpled.

Knightz smiled and motioned her Mira to follow her down deeper into the tunnel. "How much of these tunnels do you know?" she said.
Meanwhile that woman stood in the center of another room with the remaining contestants. "So," she said, "Who's going next?" Her eyes were dangerous and a thought struck one of the members of the crowd. If this woman knew about their powers and she was still confident in their presence just what could she do?
Knightz who this whole time managed to keep a hold of her dagger now drew it, read. She followed.
She turned away, "Then we head for whatever exit is opposite them." she said without hesitation.
Knightz was silent as she strode down the dark tunnel after Mira. She'd started to puff at a cigarette again and the distinctive smell lingered in the enclosed space as they continued on.
With a sigh Knightz flicked the cigarette to the floor and stepped on it. "On the inside? Do you think this is some exciting undercover operation?" she said bluntly.
She scowled, her hands in her pockets, "People die down here on a daily basis. I know the smell of a place like this distinctly. You've survived because they wanted you to."
She gave a sarcastic huff of a laugh, "And now they don't care whether you live or die. In their eyes you're a failure. Firstly because you didn't kill me and secondly you just knocked out one of their men."
She paused, "Your fear of them can't be trusted anymore, especially in consideration of your strength."
She looked straight into Mira's eyes, "Now that you've failed they wont hesitate to pit you against someone who will kill you for the pure entertainment of it."
She shook her head silently, "The best thing to do for now is leave this place."
She turned and walked down the tunnel, "You'll have a better chance of living overall if you leave." She said over her shoulder, "That in turn will most certainly give you a better chance of helping the others here."

As Knightz walked down the tunnel an odd thought struck her. Just who are the heroes and villains I wonder? Sometimes things are so straightforward. Other times it just takes a majority by one person who agree with what someone has done to save them from being known as the villain.
She smiled and Mira, who was behind her saw her vanish. Before Mira could make a move Knightz was behind her. No hesitation rested within her and the moment she reappeared she slammed her elbow into the back of Mira's head with all her force. As she stood over Mira's crumpled form she spoke, "Be a good hero Mira."

((Just a sec.))
Mira smelt something foul when she awoke. Something that smelled slightly like liquor, stale and rotting food, and also a tint of smelly socks to spice it up.

Moss shrieked, jumping about a foot into the air and immediately putting as much space between him and Mira as he could in the small room.
A warm, wet cloth that he had just been about to use to wipe her face fell with a wet splat onto her lap.

Moss, who had managed to refind his dignity motioned towards the window. "Outside." he said, smiling quietly.
Without needing her to speak her question he spoke, "Late last night Knightz was here. You were unconscious at the time and so she asked me to put you up for the night."
He rummaged through his clothes, coming up with a business card. "She told me to take you to this address and they'll help you get settled."
He laughed, "Though I'm not sure what Malik's reaction will be when he sees you."
Moss shrugged and popped open a bag of chips. "Not that you're the strangest thing I've seen in my line of work." he muttered.

((You can start with your charrie as one of the ones still in the compound. I'll RP the lady from the auditorium. :) ))
Moss inspected a pile of rather crumpled clothes and managed to pick out a jacket that wasn't too covered in wrinkles. He shrugged it on quickly. "Now." he said.
Opening the door she was greeted with a strange sight. A long elegant hall led from his door. Everything was polished to a tee and the varnished wood floor practically shined.
"The maid must've come in." Moss grunted. Carefully he stepped outside the door and surveyed the hall, making sure "the maid" was no where in sight. He motioned back to Mira, "Let's go." he said.

There was a determined look on her face and she seemed to hover there for a second. Then gravity's rules demanded they be followed.
She fell and landed on top of Mira with a loud thud. The camera closed in on the two of them, showing their faces, both unconscious.
