I'm staging a half-hearted write-in campaign (mostly consisting of this mention right now) for Patti Smith's Just Kids in the memoir/autobiography category. It has higher ratings than any of those books, had more readers by almost double, won the National Book Award, and in my opinion was fantastic. I think they missed it because it had mistakenly been given a 1999 publication date when it was first entered on the site, apparently.
So if anyone doesn't have a favorite in that category and wants to vote for it, all you have to do is type in 'just kids' in the write-in category and it should pop up first.
