I really enjoyed the Nicholas Flamel series. It's filled with mythologies and histories and magic and other cool stuff. Super fun and quite addictive.

Most of the time, I pick up a book after I finish whatever I'm reading and go, This looks interesting, and it's the complete opposite of the last couple books I read, so I'm going to read it.

stephanie plum is such a likeable character!
The Book Thief Markus ZuzakThe Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian - Sherman Alexie
Babbitt - Sinclair Lewis
Doc - Mary Doria Russell
Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins
It seems controversial. Either people love it or hate it. They give it either one star or five. It's rare for a YA novel to illicit that kind of response. Makes me curious. Nicolle wrote: "LOVE The Book Thief!!"
Crescendo and Silence - Becca Fitzpatrick
Catching Fire and Mockingjay (again :)) - Suzanne Collins
Frankenstein - Mary Shelly

Frankenstein is great, it is a novel which somehow becomes better after you have finished reading and had time to contemplate the messages given.
The Giver Lois LowryWounded Percival Everett
Little Women
The Stand by Stephen King
and lastly a non-fiction by philip yancey but haven't decided which one yet.
A Cruel Bird Came to the Nest and Looked in; A Visit from the Goon Squad; Confederates in the Attic; probably a mystery series one (Kate Shugak or Flavia de Luce or Cara Black's set in Paris or Malla Nunn's set in South Africa); I am not sure about #5 yet, we'll see how the spirit moves me.
I've been dying to read A Visit from the Goon Squad but haven't been able to get my hands on a copy.

Carrie: I have to admit, I liked The Paris Wife the novel ABOUT Hemingway and his wife more than Hemingway's Moveable Feast ...
My next five reads are (in order, I hope) Wicked, Trials of Death, Chosen, The Vampire Prince, and Best Friends for Never. I'll post here again after I finish these. (:
I am up to Trials of Death in the Darren Shan series, though to be honest, I completely forgot about it.
Divergent, Insurgent, Dracula, Unearthly, Rapture
