I would venture to agree with you but I only have 2 friends on here. Most of my friends won't join up - who knows why. It doesn't stop me from enjoying being on here though. I hope that doesn't hurt my future chances of winning more books.

Jennifer, most of my "friends" are just people I've gotten to know on here over the years (started on GR in 07 or 08...can't remember). Some of them I have met in real life, some I haven't. The more you participate, the more people will ask to be "friends". Just watch out for the "friend collectors" and authors merely slogging books. A rule of thumb I heard and use is that one has to have more books than friends AND we have to have a decent "compare books" ratio. That is, unless I've had a lot of interaction with them in a particular group and just quite like them.

Ok then I should be okay. I tend to be picky about who I would add as friends in general and I do have a fair bit of books on my shelf. Thanks!

Let me know how it is. I read Dear Fatty a month or so ago and loved it. I have A Tiny Bit Marvelous sitting on the shelf looking at me...I'll get there. But, I may need this one as well! ;)

Ha! That sounds BRILLIANT! Dear Fatty was actually a memoir, both funny and sad in parts. My Momma Wendy has it right now, but let me know if you want it after. It's not one I'm likely to keep, but really enjoyed it.
