What movie did you not get?

Likewise Crazy Heart - you couldn't fail to get the messages of this movie, they used sledgehammers. The thing I did not get was why everyone fell at its feet when it was one dreary country cliche after another with no let up.

That's reasonable.

I want to see this.

I thought you meant me for a second, but you meant the movie Pi. I didn't get that one either.

I'm with Britt on this one. Also, there was a woman at my old barn who used to call all the horses Stinky Butt, and it drove me crazy. Leave them some dignity.

Also I got really bored and therefore confused with The Nineth Gate. (Confused because it couldn't hold my attention long enough to understand it)

I'm confused as to how someone could hate this. Maybe not like it, maybe think it's meh, but it doesn't seem to be worth hating.

I also loathed this POS flick, but I understood it very well.

I got Pi, and I loved it. Darren Aronofsky is a genius. Max, a number theorist, is obsessed with finding The Answer, the string of numbers that explains everything in nature. As he gets closer to The Answer, he of course spirals deeper into insanity.
Oh wait, are we talking about the serial killer movie? That was good. Was that about serial killers? I seem to remember it. Or maybe that was Zodiac.

Maybe.
I also did not LIKE (and maybe just didn't get but I think it wasn't that deep) Shutter Island. LAME!

I'm right here, but I haven't killed anyone, I promise.

That movie sucked for me because my kid told me what happened before we turned it on. It was pretty boring anyway, and even if I hadn't known the outcome it would have only been mediocre.

Lost in Translation is a favorite of mine. Sofia Coppola films really are designed as atmospheric, fly-on-the-wall experiences in which the spell they create is the most enjoyable aspect and interest really is between the lines. And I believe there should be prison time for anyone failing to appreciate the small wonders of In Bruges.
Garden variety action films or thrillers by and large hold little appeal for me, but Bourne Identity was well written and adroitly made.

Found it. Nancy must be lurking somewhere else.

What a chore to sit through.
Dream stealers? Freddy Krueger did it better, quicker, simpler, and with a minimal amount of fuss.

The Bourne Identity
I heart Huckabees
Donnie Darko
Crazy Heart
In Bruges
Lust Caution
Pretty Woman
The Royal Tennenbaums"
I really liked The Royal Tennenbaums. I didn't care for I Heart Huckabees except for the punching. I don't get how you can not get Pretty Woman. You can dislike it, but I doubt you didn't get it.
