I want to see the movie too! It seems to b really good. But beware- the book is extremely long, but if you enjoy the book, the length doesn't really matter!
Holly wrote: "How is Water for Elephants, Heather?"Beautifully written. If you read without having watched the film, I think you’ll enjoy it a whole lot more, as they did change a few things up in the film.

The *film* was extremely long! Haha... Stunning though. I fell in love with Eddie Redmayne.
I don't think I'll mind the book being long, just as long as I have a box of Kleenex on hand..
I read Gone Girl last fall and last week finished listening to it on Audible, which I liked even better this 2nd time around, as it was like a new book as I had forgotten a lot.

Rebecca,
I'm 75 pages into Song of Solomon it's pretty interesting so far. I will post a full review on my blog when I'm finished. I will attach the link at that time.
Thanks for your comments.

"I read the Lovely Bones when it first came out several years ago and it was the first book that I actually had to stop in the middle and give myself a break from it. It was an emotional book for me to read at that time in my life and I cried many times while I read it. It really is an emotional book - I liked it a lot.
Currently reading The Lemon Tree: An Arab, a Jew, and the Heart of the Middle East by Sandy Tolan. I can't recommend this book enough for those who are interested in international affairs. I'm also more than half way through Life of Pi.

I wasn't sure about even starting it when it first came out, but my sister-in-law had read it for her bookclub and bought it for me. It as a very emotionally draining book, but I had to finish it as fast as I could. (I needed them to find her... ) The book was very good, but I had absolutely no desire to put myself through that again and see the movie. Probably not a book I will reread, even though I think it was a really good read.

The movie, I thought was done well, not too graphic and it left a lot of the horror unsaid. Good film.
