I just added a rating to the book The Promise of Mediation: The Transformative Approach to Conflict (ISBN 0787974838) by Bush and Folger. The book already had one rating (4), but when I added my rating (also 4), the average rating started showing up as 8, and the number of ratings is listed as 1. So it looks like my rating is contributing to the rating sum but not the rating count. Please correct this; thanks.

That's not something librarians can do anything about -- it's a Feedback Group request.
But the good news is, no one actually needs to do anything. It's a caching issue, and should resolve by itself in a day or two.

Victor, that's a caching issue in the database -- it takes up to several hours sometimes for ratings to settle in.
Victor, that's a caching issue in the database -- it takes up to several hours sometimes for ratings to settle in.(Also, librarians can't fix problems with ratings or other user interactions; if you find a problem there, you should report it in the "bugs" section of the Goodreads Feedback group where the site developers can see it. We librarians can only fix things related to the book records.)
ETA: Hah, Rivka!
ETA 2: And there we go: the rating is settled. Of course, I went in and did what a librarian *can* do, which is combine editions of the same book so that you see the book average rating as well, so now the ratings are even fancier!

And combining editions sometimes seems to force a cache reset, which is probably why it fixed it.
Guess Victor came to the right place after all. ;)
