Charity this was awesome! I am the oldest and I always say that my baby sister was raised by different people ... LOL
Lorena I completely agree. I think you, Charity & I have oldest kid syndrome. We were the experiement with strictness kids!
If you think about it couldn't you always gauge how much fun you had with how much dirt you were covered in?
Sherry
good point.
Actually when we go camping roasted marshmellows are best on a dirty stick!

Emilee, add me to the oldest child syndrome as well.... I had it rough, my sister not so much and by the time my brother came along it was like he was raised by a totally different set of parents!
Im sorry, a little dirt is ok, but I still make em come in and clean up when it gets to be too much. I think I have the cleanest kids on the block!

I'm not reading my book because we had to go to the store, have lunch, go to orientation for 6th grade, make supper...Now, this is my computer time, lol.
I am not reading cuz I am at work ...damn work ........ anyone know of a way I can become independantly wealthy with no work required let me know. I promise to buy you all books!! :)
I am not reading because I have been drawn back to goodreads after a week or two hiatus. So glad to be back home. **happy sigh***
Scott, I'm often trying to think of ways that I can be wealthy and not work, unfortunately I haven't found any yet but with a promise to buy me books I will keep thinking!
Mandy if you find any way to be wealthy let me know. I am sick of working!
Thanks Scott and Mandy! I saw one of the topics had over 1300 comments! It's going to take a wee bit of time to catch up for sure. :)
Bluedaizy.. Hey there. Welcome back. I hate going to work, cause i always have hundreds of posts to catch up on when i get home... I can only imagine how hard it will be after being gone as long as you have!!!
Yes, reading books time seems to fall a little once you're in the group and there's definitely more time on the net.
Good to have you back Bluedaizy... :)As for Mandy and Scott, you should do what I plan to do to get rich.Buy lottery tickets and win. Then my darling husband can retire and we will live happily ever after.
I should be reading, but instead I have decided to catalog ALL of my books. I have a database for those that are read, but not unread. And, I have been lax on putting the read ones in there as well. So, I have spent the last 2-3 hours cataloging books and have only gotten through ONE bookshelf! I am almost done with my second. Why am I doing this when I could be sitting in my backyard, sipping a glass of wine and reading while my daughter is playing with the neighbor?
Oh. I know. I am crazy.
Forgive me fellow readers, for I have sinned.I should have been reading these past few days, but the call of a Sea-Doo (jetski) was way too hard to resist. However, I read by the campfire and in the car and during downtime, haha, does that count?
Hmm, well, I think I could finish at least 4 more chapters of The Secret Countess if I started now, but, I haven't roleplayed in so long...
I should be reading but I was getting my current events and came upon this...Where did they all fit considering their size??
This women gave birth to 7 babies ranging from 3.2 - 6.17 pounds! 6 pounds is an average size baby!
OMG Tisha! Where did they all fit. That is good for the heavier babies. I am glad it wasn't me. I had three single births and that was enough for me I can't imagine 7 at one time. OUCH!
As I visiting older threats I came to this one and was reading posts about something I wanted to write some days ago: the time difference. it is such a great but weird thing....Charity wrote something like...How is tomorrow? and I had to think about The lake house where Keanu reeves plays someone that lives in 'the past' but for him it is present and Sandra Bullock lives in her present but I think four years later than the one of Keanu reeves...and they meet... I love that movie because it such a great story about time differences in some way...
And I want to read it but don't seem to find a book of it!!!!!!!
so Im dredging up this thread.
I should be reading and havent cracked my book for more than 5 pages today...
Xmas shopping like a last minute maniac, but finding tons of great sales. We bought the kids new winter clothes (jeans and hoodies and long sleeve t's) that was worth about $400 bucks but got it all for about $140.... everything was 50-70% off. I hate waiting, but sometimes, last minute shopping is great for the wallet!

I know I should be reading, but instead, I am hooked on Youtubing all my favorite music and listening as I troll around goodreads.....
I Know That I Should Be Reading But I'm On GoodReads Catching Up On Unread Topics. (and I was thinking of revising my 1001 Books Excel sheet to include the Finnish titles if applicable.)
Books mentioned in this topic
Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity (other topics)Breaking Dawn (other topics)

I totally agree with you Mandy, it's all scare tactics...then they come out later and tell us they were wrong, and now what we bought is making us sick. Like in Canada, they're on a campaign to get us to drink tap water, after years of telling us it wasn't safe.
