oh, believe me! I will be posting hauls ALL month long!

I went to Target instead and I had 4 legal books in my hands. Well, 1 was only kind of legal because it's the 1st in a series I'm not already following, but I badgered my daughter into buying it! LOL
Oh, so anyway...
There I am in line to check out, and I couldn't make myself buy the books!! Can you believe that? I'm so screwed now.
But, the thing is, I'll wait until later this week when I can get my daughter to take me to the mall to the B&N because I have gift cards, so it won't cost me anythign at all.
The books are -

***gasp*** say it isn't so!!! lol.. you'll have to ease into it:-D

Keep us posted on what you really get with the gift cards.

Seriously! My daughter kept saying, "Mom, it's ok... you can buy them..." She felt bad because she's been teasing me lately about book buying. LOL!!!!!

I really enjoyed

All of my Sherry Thomas books are ebooks and I'm finding I really want physical copies of those.

I do remember how H.O.T.

WC and Maverick were amazing, then it kind of went downhill a bit. I'm hoping - REALLY hoping, they continue to get better.

I remember once I read a romance book where the scene went on for a really long time. It started in a gazebo that had like window-seat benches. In other words, you could lift the lid and low and behold that is where the H/H found a dead body stashed. Pages and pages go by after they find it, but eventually the H/H end up making passionate love on that same bench. Yuk! And no, the body had not been removed. Really? Double yuk.

OK- rant over. I feel better now.

Seriously, I can excuse some grammar and punctuation, but come on... changing the characters name mid-story... UNintentionally? It's time to hire a new editor.

Rightfully so! I don't expect an author to be perfect, but like you said, if it becomes distracting, it has a negative impact on my rating, too.

Ur a bad naughty girl!! =P

Could I have been cured that easily??? I mean its only been three months AND I tried to cheat the last of the month of February?!!
What is goin on??

Lol I guess that means I'm still in the compulsive stage:-p
Bekah! What is up with you and Dhes???? I feel like I should be the little demon on your shoulder whispering: "gooooo ooooonliiiiine! soooo maaaaany goooood boooooks to buuuuuy!!!"
BTW, before I post anymore of my buys, is this thread only in suppor of the crazy ones who aren't buying any books this year? (if so, yes, I feel guilty, and Bekah... Ignore the demon!)

2 things are stopping me.
1, I'm trying to decide what has priority and
2. whether they should be e books or actual books.
I want the actual book for those books that I just love and fall in love with, but how am I to know that BEFORE I read it????!!
Ugh..
see like..I have all of Sherry Thomas' books in ebook format but I want them in actual paperback..so I'm going to be buying them AGAIN to ... have and to hold.... :)
too funny
See my dilemma???

I w..."
Lol... I see... But aren't ebooks pretty much the same price as actual books (other than hardbacks or bundles)?? In which case you could buy the paper copy and you can always resell or exchange (on PBS) the ones you're not crazy about, no? It does seem silly to buy them twice! Or you could buy them used on betterworldbooks to save money:-D

BUT! I did just buy my first book of the month:
$3.99:

BUT! I..."
Is that the BOM for this group? Holy Moly! Where have I been?

They're taxing ebooks now?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Speaking as a tax specialist in my country ebooks attract VAT (European sales tax) although printed books don't. It's one of the vagaries of the tax system being behind the curve- when the laws were written they didn't anticipate kindles etc. I don't know if they're planning on changing it.

lol, no...
its my month to buy though!

They're taxing ebooks now?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
What??? *_* where???
Ps: **I'm thinking about rose... where is she at now..must be close to the USA anytime now****

I mainly read Kindle books or a library book if I can't buy it for my Kindle. I think of you guys every time I go to my library, the have hundreds & hundreds of donated paperback romances for sale for .25 each.
If any of you ever want me to look for something on your wish list, just lmk. I'd be happy to buy the books & ship them to you at exact cost (books + shipping).

Thanks Dhestiny! I really wouldn't mind, so you guys don't hesitate to send me your lists. I end of browsing & fawning over the books anyway, wishing I knew of good homes for them to go to!

Why, you ask?
It seems that my library's used bookstore has become my main source of trouble! Seriously, I go there a lot and browse through the bookshelves, first eying the "gently-used" book cart at the front of the store (inside the library) and then going immediately to the 'romance' section. And then...BAM! I end up browsing the "Red-Dot Sale!" at the front of the store cashier. This "Red-Dot Sale" section is a LONG table full of books. Each are $0.25, a plastic bag full of books costing $2 (though a long time ago it used to be $1) and a paper bag costing $5.
Last time that I was there (which was this past Thursday, btw) there were some books that I wanted. I didn't expect to get a lot, but then I decided that I needed a plastic bag. Then...one of the staff gave me an extra plastic bag and told me "You can have this extra plastic bag for $.50" and also told another customer about it. The lady customer finished her browsing and got her two bags for $2.50. I took longer to fill up the bags because most of the books on the table really didn't grab my attention and thus I just decided to fill it up with books that (1) I can swap, (2) give to a family friend who asked for some particular books, and/or (3) give to a cousin. When I finally decided to pay, the staff told her co-worker that for this day only, it will be $1 each bag; thus I only paid $2 for two plastic bags full of books.
NOT to say that there are the other books that I buy every month that comes out (a.k.a. the "new" ones that are published). Add that and...well, my TBR is exceptionally HUGE right now.
Just like Christine S's case, my library's bookstore has TONS of books that needs to 'new' owners. Sad to say that I didn't make a lot of dent in it.

and they know it!
IMPOSSIBLE I SAY!
:-)

and they know it!
IMPOSSIBLE I SAY!:-)"
Ech... I wish I lived somewhere were books were $0.25... Can't say it'd be great for my living space, but I'd love it!!!
I did manage to find the biggest English bookstore in France while in Paris though.. I went there two days in a row, lol..

I bought all of Sherry Thomas' books because I wanted to have the actual ones in my hands

Then I had the third book in the Desperate Duchesses series so I bought the first two:

and next month's book club read:

Then I went Jill Shalvis shopping:

Then the rest:

That's it for now for actual books. Next will be my list of ebooks!
Oh and I got these for $11.00 cuz I had a credit!! Whoop Whoop!!!
