Oh! Another series I must add to my buy list. This site is really evil!!!
I also hold those great books to my heart, sighing, wishing they had not ended.

yes Dhes i read ur review ( i love ur reviews btw ;) )it shows how much u cared for the story and what it means to u!! i really like tht.
based on tht review is that i found it a good read. i like strong stories that challenges the writer to get more deeply into the development of the characters. However i havent read the review of the previous two. will have to take a look. xxxxxxx

I'm SO GLAD that the book club gives me an excuse to at least buy one book a month next year!!!

There'll be a new thread -
What Will You Buy When Your Book Buying Moratorium Is Over?

I just (literally just hit purchase bought):

Some stonkingly good purchases there. I'm not sure if you guys are helping each other though or if the addiction is getting worse!
I think I'm really going to get into Anne Stuart by the way and Mary Jo Putney is one of my favourite authors and Thunder and Roses is one of her best books.

The book buying is only open until Dec 31st...then no more until March, which is my bday month!
So...any recommendations for me?? What else is good by MJP?

LOL I'm not sure this is helping your addiction! As to MJP three favourites of hers for me are:
Thunder and Roses: Crazy plot line but wonderful characters- I was sold by the whole gypsy, Welsh, penguins, seduction scene on a billiards table aspect! There's also a fire, a flood and a cave in!
The Bartered Bride: Wonderful hero (Mr Honourable), set in Indonesia and London, false murder charges, kidnapping, pirates, slavery, bizarre rituals, unexpected legacy.
Silk and Secrets: Based on the silk road, estranged husband and wife, imprisonment, knife fighting, unusual sports involving a goats head, desert chases, fantastic heroine modelling herself on Lady Hester Stanhope.
I would say that she is good if you like a strong plot in your books as long as you are willing to suspend disbelief as to the plot actually being practical! I like her strong heroines and that she often includes travel. She doesn't seem to write formulaic works which is a problem I have with some authors- you know the ones where the sex scenes seem to appear at a set page number and they always avoid anything that their readers might dislike.

um.....buy it then! you have until 12/31. I got mine for $3.98

Anyway, welcome.

Gibberish typing like this: I'm not twitchy msnnfuvks."
LOL !!! as long as we dong get bitchy is all good!! :P

oops.
Anyway, I bet that happens to some people...I don't know who, but I'm willing to bet.
So, it's been almost a whole week since I last bought a book so I thought I'd celebrate by buying some books. Here's what I got:

The thing is, and I don't know if you're like me, but I prefer to read things in order. At the end of this book, we get to see some family members who were introduced in the 2 previous books. It doesn't mess with the plot of this story at all, but the hero in this book is the son and nephew of the heroes in the previous books.
