Lol I saw and used it:-D However I think betterworldbooks and I need a break: I'm heartbroken, but I had to put a temporary halt to our relationship (moving too quickly and all, you know how it is)...

A little, yes... But see, bookdepository was getting jealous and starting to call me names, so I decided to try to break it off with both of them:-D

I love getting their boxes!!!! It's always so exciting!!

message 505: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments I know! Getting the boxes alone is addictive!!

Melanie (melaina) | 638 comments Lol.. I'm blaming you anyway, Bekah:-D Anyway, you won't be buying any more books after next week, so your source will replenish itself before 2012:-D

Jennifer (sadstrumpetjenny) Bekah wrote: "ugh..i should have never let them out of the bag!!! You guys will be depleting my source!!!!"

haha. since you were so generous to share your source, you can have first dibs on anything I have, though chances are you've read everything I've ordered!!

message 513: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments probably but you have to list what you bought anyway!

message 514: by Lisa Kay (last edited Mar 24, 2011 11:29AM) (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Okay, I just finished my on-line shopping at betterworldbook.com I really am trying to be good, so the choices are ones I had to make b/c their were not available at the library. They are:

The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie (Highland Pleasures, #1) by Jennifer Ashley The Serpent Prince (Princes Trilogy, #3) by Elizabeth Hoyt The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen The Smoke Thief (Drakon, #1) by Shana Abé A Rogue in Texas (Rogues in Texas, #1) by Lorraine Heath

message 515: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments **gasp** You haven't read Ian Mackenzie???????? I'm shocked!

message 516: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Dhes, I wondered if you would pick up on that! LOL! God, you are quick. But, seeing as it is one of your favorite books... And I know, I know! I thought I bought it, but I can't find it. Maybe it fell behind the headboard. So, here I am getting (another?) one, finally.

Picture of shocked Dhes, but please, don't use your spector for evil!

message 517: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Damn! I look just like that, too! LOL

I'll refrain from using my zap wand, but you must promise to read Ian first!

message 518: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments But...but, Dhes, I thought you wanted me to read A Rogue in Texas (Rogues in Texas, #1) by Lorraine Heath ! (Hee hee).

Oh, and I actually own that book, but didn't know it. I'm going to read it very soon because I LOVED her Texas Trilogy.

message 521: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments hmmm...maybe i should be buying this one then....

message 522: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (last edited Mar 24, 2011 11:10AM) (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Bekah wrote: "hmmm...maybe i should be buying this one then...."

Her Texas Trilogy, Texas Destiny, Texas Glory and Texas Splendor were very good. First read by this author and I'm hooked. The heat factor is low, but the story is so good, the romance and the sexual tension, that I don't feel like the stories are lacking. And there's some there, but not terribly graphic.

message 523: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments yeah, I bought the first book in that trilogy...I'm thinking I should get A Rogue in Texas now!!!

:-)

message 525: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Probably! That way if you love it you can buy it later, too. Or do you not have that caveat?

message 526: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments So no one answered... is BWB better than thriftbook.com?

message 527: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Dhes, I can't compare as I only have used Amazon and BWB. I signed up for thriftbooks.com last week, but I was good and didn't buy anything. Today, alas, I relapsed into my addiction...

message 528: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments um, yes I do have that caveat...that's why I should probably buy it!!!!

:-)

I've never used thriftbooks either....I'll check into it and see...I'm just so used to bwb and their format.

message 529: by Lisa Kay (last edited Mar 24, 2011 12:48PM) (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Huh??? Dhes, I thought you were the one who suggested A Rogue in Texas. Or maybe you suggested another in the series and I wanted to start at the beginning? I'm getting too old for this; I can barely remember the challenges I'm in. I also needed the "R" to spell M.A.R.C.H., but couldn't find it at the bookstore or the library. Guess I'll use it for A.P.R.I.L. (view spoiler)

message 530: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (sadstrumpetjenny) Bekah, yes in my excitement I forgot to post my recent haul.

My BWB order:

Seduce Me at Sunrise (The Hathaways, #2) by Lisa Kleypas Tempt Me at Twilight (The Hathaways, #3) by Lisa Kleypas A Kiss at Midnight (Happily Ever Afters, #1) by Eloisa James Again The Magic by Lisa Kleypas

And I went with Pamela Clare for my two e-books:
Surrender (MacKinnon’s Rangers, #1) by Pamela Clare Naked Edge (I-Team, #4) by Pamela Clare

message 531: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments Great Books!! Jennifer!

message 532: by MashJ (new)

MashJ | 733 comments you've all totally cracked haven't you!!

message 533: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Yes, Mshj, LOL. I cracked!! I couldn't stand it, everyone else was doing it. The covers were too pretty. I needed a fix after people started talking about BOXES arriving at their door. I was weak.

message 534: by Melanie (new)

Melanie (melaina) | 638 comments Lol.. You're all very bad girls for giving in that way:-D

message 535: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments No, I recommended her Texas Trilogy, Lisa Kay. Bekah wrote: "hmmm...maybe i should be buying this one then...."

Texas Destiny, Texas Glory and Texas Splendor were very good.

I own A Rogue in Texas but didn't know it, so I added the next two from BWB.

message 536: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Sugar! I'm trying to get to The Texan's Wager (Wife Lottery, #1) by Jodi Thomas . Just realised it's the first one in the series. I thought I had to read A Rogue in Texas (Rogues in Texas, #1) by Lorraine Heath to get to it. Oh well.

i like it much better Dhes. Besides, it helps literacy!;) xxxxxx

message 539: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Thanks, Autumn. Only certain books from thriftbooks go towards literacy programs, so if all books qualify with BWB I'll shop them whenever possible, too.

message 540: by Autumn (new)

Autumn (sweetdenial) | 1625 comments YES! and they are also very environmentally friendly. I want to take a leap of faith and believe in all their goodness. It offsets my guilty pleasures a tiny bit hhheheh

message 541: by E. (new)

E. (dilawrosas) | 507 comments Hmmm, I bought: The Manning Grooms (includes Those Manning Men, #3) by Debbie Macomber The Manning Brides (Those Manning Men, #1 & #2) by Debbie Macomber Scandalous (Banning Sisters trilogy, #1) by Karen Robards Shameless (Banning Sisters trilogy, #3) by Karen Robards Adventures of a Scottish Heiress by Cathy Maxwell . I'm really adoring my library bookstore, even if some of the books are not in great shape. But hey, if I'm lucky, I'll find the ones that I want.

You would point that out now. :-)

message 543: by Laura (new)

Laura (filoviridae) | 783 comments Okay, I was bad and did a third order from BWB and got the following from the same list I've been buying from.

Toy Soldiers by William P. Kennedy
The Last Days of the Romanovs: Tragedy at Ekaterinburg by Helen Rappaport
The Jester by James Patterson
Savage Desire by Constance O'Banyon

Elaine Barbieri
Hawk's Passion
Hawk's Prize

Linda Lael Miller
Here and Then (Time Travel, #2)Timeless

I also tried thriftbook.com and lucked out on some more books from same list that I haven't been able to find elsewhere

Linda Lael Miller
Ragged Rainbows
Fletcher's Woman
Wanton Angel
Lauralee

Constance O'Banyon
Savage Spring
Savage Winter
Rebel Temptress

Between those orders and my pre-orders I definitely don't need anymore books so I'm now doing a self-imposed ban for a bit until I get through some more of my TBR pile.

message 544: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (last edited Mar 25, 2011 10:38AM) (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Hey, Lisa Kay, don't blame me!!!! Goodreads has that handy feature that shows the author's name.

I'll accept blame for just about anything.. including global warming and Obama's hair loss, but you're not going to blame ME for that mistake!!!

Besides, they're excellent books. You'll love them all :)

message 545: by Bekah, Fellow Kleypasaholic (new)

Bekah (bekah317) | 2750 comments lol...that handy feature that shows the author's name...

too much!!

You guys are too much!

message 546: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Dhes, Where? Where does it say the author's name? Huh? I don't see it. And that is besides the point! You are on of the best worst at getting me to add to my uncontrollable TBR pile. This little error of mine yours adds three more books.

message 547: by UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish, Your Humble Servant (new)

UniquelyMoi ~ BlithelyBookish | 8001 comments Lisa Kay wrote: "This little error of mine yours adds three more books."

message 548: by Lisa Kay (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 4782 comments Dhes, You have a heart? Let's check. Oh yes, there's your heart! Tiny isn't it? Hee hee. :-)

I can hear it breaking from here. Elton & Kiki!!
