I like that he's closer to my age than some of the other ones I think that are cute (like Alex Pettyfer). Although, I'd cradle rob Alex in a heartbeat. He's legal. Nothing wrong with a 10 year age difference between consenting adults, right? O.o Hell, age Ben backwards about 10 years, (he's going on 30 now) chop his hair a few inches, and add some waves to it, and I would have made him my Will too.
Even if he isn't what I'd picture for Will (the cover image on the US cover of CA has me searching for an actor who looks like that), I wouldn't care. Dark haired and cute? - close enough. :p
He SO doesn't look like hes going on 30 though. He's absolutely gorgeous.
He has a baby face. So do I. We'd be good together.

Jem makes sensitive guys look good. That doesn't usually happen in books when there's a bad boy contender.I really do like them both.

Below is a decent fantasy casting for CA. I think I like this Tessa better than Kat Dennings, my original choice.Wouldn't have thought of Sophia Bush for Charlotte, but she'd be the right age (Charlotte is mid 20's iirc), although I rather like the idea of casting someone that is in their 30's but looks like they're in their 20's instead. Something about Charlotte feels older to me.
I don't like the choice for Jem at all though. Even if Jem looks more white than Asian, I want to see something in him that looks part Chinese.

Hmm...Found someone close to a Jem type on this blog casting : http://tyngasreviews.blogspot.com/201... . He's Japanese, not Chinese, but he has the blonde (close to silver at least) hair. He's cute, but not quite cute enough I think.

I'm vetoing Kate Beckinsale for Charlotte though. She's too old. If she were 5 years younger, then sure. Otherwise I'm sticking with either Emily Blunt or maybe Sophia Bush when she ages another couple of years.

lol I want both. I like Jem's sweetness, and Will's sarcasm and courage.
It's so hard to pick...and we can't merge Jem and Will or it would just make Jill.Wiem? Like Liam except with a W? Sounds like baby talk.
Actually I take that back. These two can't be merged. If Jem had any of Will's personality I wouldn't like him for being Jem, and if Will was soft like Jem, he would lose his edge.
I have the feeling that there will be no final decision from me until the very last book at the very last minute.

It's weird because I usually am too. But *Shrug*
I'm so team both right now, but I don't know...for once I may have to end up rooting for the nice guy. Jem has a quiet confidence that appeals to me. He's definitely not like Simon at all. I'm pretty sure he knows that he can get a girl, but is sort of playing it low key because of his sickness. Just when I would think he wasn't going to really go for Tess though, he'd sort of slide in and pull some sort of pimp move though. He is smooth. I can so see him wearing the gloves and the hat and walking with a cane when he's so sick he's practically falling down, and completely pulling it off. Love him.Still haven't made my final decision between Will and Jem, but this is honestly the first time that the nice guy has a shot in my book. Okay, maybe not the first time, since I picked Jace in Shifters too...but close enough.
@Stacia Gah I totally agree!! Except I'm not really torn between them. I used to be..but I love Jem more. Hes like a badass nice guy!
He is definitely a badass. He's a shadowhunter after all!
