Do the books have to be read in order?

It felt like it didn't really belong but I understand its placement now that I've read most of the books.

Haunted was my least favourite one too, that and personal demon. You can just skip to book 6 if you want because you wont miss anything. Like Kris said you may need to read it before before you go onto No Humans Involved though so there will be no point in skipping.

There's another one, Bewitched , which is pretty good. It hasn't been available at the website, but you could find it here.
Oh, and it's OK to read #8 & #9 after Frostbitten. You won't miss on something important.

I think you can read Tales now and Men after No Humans Involved.

(The Pack)
Infusion is a short-story about Jeremy's father, Malcolm Men of the Otherworld
Savage (novella): covers Clayton's childhood Men of the Otherworld
Ascension (novella): how Jeremy became the Alpha; narrated by Clay Men of the Otherworld
Beginnings (novella) tells the story of how Elena and Clay met. Tales of the Otherworld
Becoming (graphic novel)- Elena after being bitten
Kitsunegari , the last short-story in Men of the Otherworld, takes place after No Humans Involved. It's about Jeremy and Jaime
Bewitched "tells the tale of Eve's romance with Kristof" Tales of the Otherworld
As for the other stories, you can find the Complete Timeline here.
Book 9 you definatly don't have to read. That was my least favourite and felt like it didnt even fit into the Otherworld series. From what I remember you dont miss anything important in book 8 which is mainly about Hope and Karl. If your interested in knowing more about Hope's power and Karl then sure, read it.
ermmm...You do see Hope and Karl at the end of the book but its only a mention that they are there. As for Robyn from book 9 you don't hear about her at all in any of the later books
Yeah I've read that too AH, its really good :)
Lady Vale, once you finish the series you'll wish you took your time reading the books and prolonged the werewolf books, lol. I remember forcing myself to read the books in between the werewolf books, it was torture. Wish I had the smarts to skip books back then too.

Yeah she is interesting, especially her Half demon powers. And things do get better once Karl her wolf boyfriend shows up. I just don't care for her as much as the rest.

I wanna read book 7 so b..."
Oh don't, in my oppion it was one of the best ones. I was like you to start off with, didn't really think I liked Eve so didn't fancy reading her ghost book, but i did and I really enjoyed it!

5.Haunted

10.Frostbitten

I think you should start with Bitten and Stolen, but you don't have to go with #3 next.
In Stolen the other supernatural races are introduced (besides the werewolves) and it doesn't matter which book you pick up next. Most of the books are stand alone novels and you only risk minor spoilers.
1.Bitten, 2.Stolen, 6.Broken and 10.Frostbitten are narrated by Elena (the werewolf);
I recommend Savage, Ascension (Men of the Otherworld) and Beginnings (Tales of the Otherworld) right after Bitten.
3.Dime Store Magic & 4.Industrial Magic - narrator: Paige (a witch),
You definitely should read #3 before #4.
5.Haunted - narrator: Eve(half-demon/witch hybrid);
7.No Humans Involved - narrator: Jaime (necromancer);
8.Personal Demon & 9.Living with the Dead - narrator: Hope (half-demon);
11.Waking the Witch , 12.Spell Bound & 13.Thirteen are a trilogy within the Otherworld series, narrated by Savannah (witch). They should be read in order.
The Otherworld short stories and novellas are a great addition to the series, but you wouldn't enjoy them that much if you aren't already engaged with the characters, so my advice is to read them in between books. They're properly numbered.

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of which books I need to read to understand and follow the packs story throughout the series.
Im currently reading Broken, and then I'm guessing I should read No Humans Involved, can't miss out some Jeremy action. Going onto Frostbitten next.
Would you guys say thats about right? Or am I missing some others?
I know this is really repetitive, sorry.

Stolen (other topics)
Bitten (other topics)
Becoming (other topics)

But I can promise you that book 4 is better than book 3 because I was in the same situation like you where i was on the fence with Paige after reading Dime Store Magic but i just kept reading and things got better. You also get to learn lots more about the Cabals who I think are pretty interesting.
Think I went off subject abit there but hope it helps.
