There's one book (can't remember which one it was) where we get to see a bit more of her and the vampire world.

Read "The Case of El Chupacabra" which can be found in Tales of the Otherworld. you get to see more of cassandra and she is even more crazy in it and hilarious

The short story (Twilight) in Many Bloody Returns is from Cassandra's point of view. Definitely gives us a bit more of her thought process.
