I think NB would look good in restraints.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
Have you ever tried to restrain a cat? Wear gauntlets if you try, I'm telling you...

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Or a pillow case and a dryer :D

message 55: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
I don't think Not Bill would fit in a pillow case, or a duffle bag.

message 56: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
Actually, if DakiniCharissa is the one applying the restraints, I bet NB would just sit back and purr.
Then we could put him in the duffle bag.

Why are we doing this? Is Not Bill going to get tutored, too?

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
There is always room on the rack for one more!

message 58: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
There's a rack, now? Like a roof rack? He's not a dead grandmother, or even a dead cat. I think he would fit inside the car, Nick.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
I was referring to a torture rack... you know clasp his front paws to a chain and his hindquarters to another, and then pull/crank. But I think a roof rack would be pretty upsetting to a cat as well. Roof rack and a few bungee cords should do it.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
I guess it depends on if we WANT to freak Not Bill out, or not. Actually, I think we've done that already, with this conversation. Not a peep, or a mew, out of NB for ages...

message 61: by Charissa, That's Ms. Obnoxious Twat to You. (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) | 3614 comments Mod
I vote bungee cords and roof rack, because the idea of NB bungeed to a roof rack makes me giggle uncontrolably.

message 62: by Not Bill (new)

Not Bill | 1061 comments Sign me up!! Pillow cases, roof racks, tight fitting Lassie suits - it's all good! purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

message 63: by Not Bill (new)

Not Bill | 1061 comments Oh and yes, this would all make for a most grand USO tour don't you think?

message 64: by Varmint (new)

Varmint from what i hear, we've been carrying out air strikes and raids across the border since 02.remember when khalid sheik mohammed was caught in rawalpindi?

but obama is actually sounding like he wants a full scale invasion.

one of my neighbors s a dominatrix. next time we have lunch, i'll ask if she's incorporated waterboardning into the act yet.

message 65: by Not Bill (new)

Not Bill | 1061 comments LOL!

message 66: by Rusty (new)

Rusty (rustyshackleford) Varmint, you live in L.A. and only ONE of your neighbors is a dominatrix? Gotta say, I'm kind of surprised.

message 67: by Varmint (new)

Varmint endless stories about my neighbors. but i'm the only republican, so they think i'm the freak.

i've got her business card around here somewhere.

i'll put it up if someone explains how you post images on this site

message 68: by Rusty (new)

Rusty (rustyshackleford) Varmint, I can sympathize. I too am a conservative awash in a sea of uber libs.

message 69: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (songgirl7) Me three.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Perhaps you should all move to the same street; and start a “be right live right neighborhood”.

message 71: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (songgirl7) Actually my city is one of the most conservative in the state, but most of my friends and extended family are liberals.

message 72: by Charissa, That's Ms. Obnoxious Twat to You. (new)

Charissa (dakinigrl) | 3614 comments Mod
"most conservative in the state" isn't saying much when that state is Leftifornia. ; )

message 73: by Varmint (new)

Varmint here's the situation.

every year they block off a part of franklin blvd and hold a charity street fair. one guy i know, named republican rick, ran the dunking booth. he'd sit in there and challenge the liberal pussies to hit the target and splash him.
it was one of the more popular attractions. last year rick got drunk and sideswiped a police car. so he was "unavailable". the morning of the fair, the lady from the committee left a message on my machine asking if i'd be the victim. but i was already on my way out of town.
we talked when i got back. this woman is on the neighborhood council, has lived here her entire life, but we established that there were only two "open" republicans in her insular little world.

I would feel too exposed there. I don’t mind a balanced demographic but to be so canted like that. I’ll pass. Unrestrained liberal banter is why I stopped going to that "other" group. Nice people, as long as you are beating the drum of secular progressives. If not stand by to be trampled.

It’s funny, we almost didn’t move to Alaska because me (independent leaning right) and my wife (libertarian completely) thought it was a funk pool of liberals. Why did we think that? Because every news source printed and TV wise is uber liberal. The truth is they just yell the loudest. Once you are outside of Anchorage you will be hard pressed to find one. Unless it is summer and they are un-employed hippies. Those you can find anywhere in Alaska during the summer. I wonder where they migrate to in the winters.

message 75: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell Nick, I think you have to pay Bill O'Reilly every time you use the phrase sec*l*r progr***ives.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
No I think he actually pays me every time he uses it. Honestly I don't really watch O'reilly. He is a Christian Bible pounder. I am not. So we don't see eye to eye on much. Many of his arguments are faith based. I need something a little more solid to agree with someone then a certain moral code. If you really want to know who my nemesis is, watch Hannity. Gag reflex anyone?

message 77: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
I can't watch Fox at all, Nick. It makes me rashy.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Well, I do watch Fox. I just stay away from Mr. O and Hannity, and Greta van shutyourmouth... unless dick Morris is going to be on. Over the past year or so I have read a few of his books, and re-researched his points. He is pretty accurate and I agree with him more often then not. Not always what he thinks should be done mind you, we just agree on what is "wrong".

message 79: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
I watch MSNBC, which I know must be biased against this administration, because I enjoy it so much. Especially Countdown with Keith Oberman.

message 80: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell MSNBC was also pretty biased against Hillary.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Cringing: That network is filth Jackie, I would rather you watched CNN on CBS nightly or something.

message 82: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
I think most of the media was biased against Hillary, Dave. So much was made of her being an emotional woman, or a bitch, and that she was married to Bill, that her actual message got buried.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Well, folks end of my shift, I'll debate you all tomorrow. Night.

message 84: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell That probably true, but Matthews and Olbermann made very little effort to hide the fact that they actually hated her.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
I watch CNN, too, Nick, but they repeat their pieces so frequently I can't watch it for long.

I can't watch Fox, because to me they come across as just a mouthpiece for the Bush administration. And all the reporters come across as so smug I want to smack them. That's just not healthy! I bet you feel the same way about MSNBC, though.

I don't think MSNBC is filth, just not conservative. I know they go too far, sometimes, but I'm right there with them in the anger at the current government. Plus, I really enjoy Chris Matthews.

message 86: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (songgirl7) The only network news program I can stomach is Anderson Cooper.

Add me to the list of conservatives who wish Hannity would just shut the hell up.

message 87: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell When did CNN get to be so dull? Their centerpiece show has always been Larry King, but they used to have good shows like "Crossfire" and "Inside Politics" to balance him out. Now it's the Blitzer and King network. Good grief.

message 88: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
I like Anderson Cooper just fine! I wish Hannity would just shut the hell up, too. :D

message 89: by Jackie "the Librarian", Cool Star Trek Nerd (new)

Jackie "the Librarian" | 1811 comments Mod
Larry King is only as good as his guest, which often isn't very.

message 90: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (songgirl7) I'm fairly certain that Anderson Cooper's a liberal but I like that he seems almost neutral in his reporting. That's hard to do on the Clinton News Network.

message 91: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell Oh yeah I forgot about Anderson Coo...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Cute, blue-eyed pinky mouse, with a good laugh. I loved it when he had Kathy Griffin on, and she kept cracking him up!

"I am reporting here from the depths of a forest-consuming inferno, and I'm not even breaking a sweat.... " Ah Anderson... the teflon reporter.

message 94: by RandomAnthony (last edited Jul 27, 2008 04:12AM) (new)

RandomAnthony I like the female newcasters on Fox.

And the girls on CNN aren't bad, either.

I can't stand either network. Bleh. They're both likely, it seems, to spend hours on whatever sensationalistic murder took place wherever. Like Jackie I just watch CNN in short doses, if at all, and if something interesting is on Fox when I channel-surf past the channel I'll stick around for a minute or two.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Is there anyone that enjoys Hannity? How does this sock puppet have his own show? I find his arguments to be condescending. That and he always hangs on one point (almost always faith based) And keeps going back to it no matter what. Eh, dude... if you are hoping to make a difference, then I think you should include the consideration of the whole country in your arguments.

message 96: by Sarah (last edited Jul 27, 2008 12:46PM) (new)

Sarah (songgirl7) The thing is, I usually agree with what Hannity is saying. I just hate the way he says it. Shut your mouth and let your guest speak, for pete's sake.

message 97: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell Is there anyone that enjoys Hannity?

Yes, Hannity.

Reads with Scotch | 1977 comments Mod
Really, Dave? But you don't like Mr.O. I think of the two O'reilly is much more bearable to watch.

message 99: by Dave (new)

Dave Russell No, I was saying I think Hannity is the only who really likes Hannity.
